20.01.2022 The Seymour Football Netball Club is saddened by the passing of Life Member Mrs Ruby Sullivan. Mrs Sullivan was born on 31 May 1923 and passed away this week at an amazing 97 years of age. Mrs Sullivan was involved in the ladies auxiliary some 60 years ago. She helped with functions, catering and fundraising all while supporting husband John, a two time Senior Best and Fairest winner and life member.... Our Club has a rich history and is proud of the contributions that people like Ruby and John made all those years ago. It’s made our club what it is today and we are forever grateful. Our thoughts and prayers are with the extended Sullivan family.

19.01.2022 2021 NETBALL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENTS We are incredibly excited to announce the appointment of Ronni Hager to the A Grade and Netball Head Coach position for the 2021 season. Ronni is an A Grade premiership player, a five-time A Grade Best and Fairest winner and a dedicated, passionate and long-time supporter of our club. ... Many of you know Ronni from her involvement over the years - she’s been a player, a coach, a member of the committee and an assistant on the sidelines for both the junior and senior teams. A massive congrats to Ronni, the club is in great hands and we look forward to seeing what next year will bring! We are also very excited to announce that Courtney Aldous will again coach the Under 17s next year and Ellie O’Sullivan will take a new role coaching the B Reserve team. Courtney and Ellie have both been working super hard with our young girls and will no doubt continue that great work in 2021. Ellie and Courtney are excellent leaders on and off the court and wish them the very best for next season! B Grade and Under 15s coaching announcements to come very soon. GO LIONS!

08.01.2022 NETBALL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT We are thrilled to announce that Kelly Smith will return to the Den in 2021 as the coach of our B Grade netball team. Kelly played over 300 games for our club between 1992 and 2013, was a member of our B Grade 1993 Premiership team, is a B&F winner AND was made a Life Member in 2002. ... For the last two years Kelly has been coaching at Assumption College, she has also previously coached at our club and in the KDFL. Kelly has a wealth of netball knowledge and experience and is looking forward to working with new and past players. Kelly joins fellow Life Member, Ronni Hager and A Grade Premiership Player, Ellie O’Sullivan to round out the Senior Netball Coaching team for next season. A massive congratulations to Kell and a very warm welcome back!

08.01.2022 This time last year we were preparing for ALL 8 TEAMS to play in the first round of GVL finals. What an amazing achievement and proud moment that was for our club. Every team in finals was the best reward for the dedication and hard work that was put in during the year.... In the footy and netball world September is the most exciting time and we’re looking forward to sharing our best (and worst) memories of the 2019 final series. 01.01.2022 The devastating impact to our lives from road trauma is still prevalent during pandemic restrictions. That's why CoolHeads Young Driver Program will be delivered in 2020 via Facebook. The program is not about teaching our youth how to drive; it is about highlighting the real consequences of distraction and risk taking while driving. It is designed to improve the attitude of young drivers have towards driving on our roads.... CoolHeads makes no apologies about being emotive and confronting. Our message is clear; adjust your driving behaviour and reduce driver distraction before you, your passengers, families and friends are exposed to road trauma. The SFNC encourages members and players to join the program on August 26.
