24.01.2022 For #ThrowbackThursday this week, heres Barry Lovett and Elizabeth Alexander in TARTUFFE, presented at the Seymour by Nimrod Theatre Company in 1987. Penned by legendary French playwright Molire and written entirely in rhyme, TARTUFFE is a fast-paced, satirical comedy about the hypocrisy of those who use religion for personal gain. TARTUFFE was banned by the French king, Louis XIV, shortly after its premiere performance in 1664, due to perceived criticism of the French Roman Catholic Church.

This shot features Alex Francis and Thomas Campbell in THE MOORS, which played at the Seymour as part of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Penned by American writer Jen Silverman and inspired by the lives and works of the Bront sisters, THE MOORS is a satirical, surrealist tale of love, desire and obsession, set on the Yorkshire moors. : Clare Hawley

22.01.2022 For todays #ThrowbackThursday, heres a great snap of the original Seymour logo being positioned on the buildings front wall. The very first concert held at the Seymour was a Musica Viva performance in September 1975. Click through to see how the Seymour logo has evolved over the years!

18.01.2022 Todays #SeymourMemories features Michelle Ny and Annabel Harte in Outhouse Theatre Cos GLORIA. From acclaimed American playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, GLORIA is a cutting and deeply insightful satire of modern workplace culture - with a deadly, heart-pounding twist. Its Sydney premiere played at the Seymour in winter 2019. : Clare Hawley

Presented by Marionette Theatre of Australia, BOTTERSNIKES was based on a series of classic Australian childrens books featuring the hard-working, good-natured Gumbles and the more belligerent Bottersnikes. Set in the Australian bush, the stories also carried a strong message about the importance of caring for the natural environment.
