19.01.2022 First things first, even Battle PT Thursday took a backseat, as we kicked off proceedings with an impromptu, pre dawn rendition of Happy Birthday, for non othe...r than Elise 29 again (ladies never get any older than 29 - hey, we CAN count) and still giggling and complaining - but in the end she was floored by her immaculately crafted birthdaycakebrownieslicemasterpiece, whipped up by our own Masterchef Pete the Muffin Man Mundy - sorry Grant...you better suck it up, too Rewind...before all that silenced Elise for less than a gazillionth of a split nanosecond, we fought our arch nemesis ANTIFA on the beach, slashed, bashed, bayoneted, crawled, pushed up & overran Martin (even he was invited to join in for Elise’s birthday) and his rather unthreatening stretcherbunkerbeachfortification... Lucky for us, Laurel & her trusty sidekick Hugo kept an eye on us all, and even bloody better, Laurel had whipped up the most delicious orange & poppy seed muffins and so we all skulled our coffees, gorged ourselves on the worlds finest baked goods north of Cabbage Tree Creek, and say to all those who failed to show up this morning: SUCK IT UP... #battleptbirthdaythursdayforelise See more

18.01.2022 Been a bit slack posting this year but that is all about to change as I delegate all media responsibilities to the newly appointed media liaison and recruiting officer, Elmar Schieren who will ensure this lapse never ever happens again. Today we took our sandbags for a walk which was so exciting that even David A Hammond turned up to see what all the excitement was all about. Laurel was too busy saving lives , Dan got in early on his Wednesday prayers and Troy in keeping with... his NYE resolution to get really unfit in 2021 never turned up. Thursday - despite my unplanned absence, and the 2IC (from now on known as the 2TL - that’s Tango Lima, for Treacherous Leech) hav...ing another letter from his mum excusing him from creating a post, saw the return of Rusty, the man, the legend !!! He somehow mistook the log curls for ‘leaning on the bar’ - which is distinctly less strenuous, apparently I’ll spare you my ramblings - I wasn’t there, so I shall instead give you individual comments on the expertly selected & professionally created photographs. 14.01.2022 OH how things have changed. It was all a bit Navy for some of us but having a gender-fluidity policy that would sink a battleship that was just OK with us. Marianne has climbed up the ladder from second best to first best and thats all good news for us. See you all tomorrow except for Grant who will already be in bed.

12.01.2022 Battle PT sadly over for another Thursday. Great morning searching for Stomps’ sense of humour. Despite our best efforts, Elise was tested by a run away aslav... tyre as was Laurel’s last training before an operation. The mission was unsuccessful despite Troy’s return from R&R and Dan’s prayers seemingly falling on deaf ears - although we did uncover one of Elise’s senses of humour. Pete Mundy, as usual, is the quiet achiever needing only a little correction from our fearless leader. Elmar continued German lessons on the Braille steps, with Zahren’s protests to no avail..... So the mission will have to be expanded next week. There is nothing like Marianne’s homemade banana cake to sooth the troops and draw a line in the sand. Who will find the courage to earn the next banana cake?????? See more

10.01.2022 Happy birthday Elmar Happy Birthday to Elmar or better known to the SF Training Crew as 5IC and unless you are myself or the 2IC you would want to be at the attention positions when you address him. The 5IC is not only our linguist, our signals officer, and our security CCTV consultant he is also the fastest grenade thrower there is on numerous occasions during SF Training grenade practice actually beating the grenade to the target. He is loyal, he is funny, (for a German) h...e speaks better German than Zahryn's German teacher and he produced Beckie a really cool girl he is ours. He can technically be part of SMEAC because he is a veteran...just for the other side...but a quick check of the SF Training gender fluidity manual which also deals with race and ethnicity says that he can join and thats good enough for us. So Elmar in tradition of not doing pt on your birthday (started by Elise) we shall see you tomorrow to celebrate it in style with a cake that the 2IC is baking as we speak. 09.01.2022 A very special day today with our loyal 2IC clicking over another lap around the sun. Can't give away too much about the session this morning but a few worthy m...entions. Great to see a special appearance by Fit Steve and a particularly tasty birthday cake lovingly baked by the 5IC. At risk of pissing off a third woman in 24 hrs, i will refrain from any comments about Elise who was obviously still struggling after her major medical procedure on the bicep. Its healing well though and she was still able to put the 2IC on his ass, unfortunately, Tim missed the hit in the photo below but you can gather what happened. 07.01.2022 Let it be known, that despite the intentionally hurtful vitriol, some vicious rumours and slanderous remarks from certain, to remain unnamed individuals (possib...ly the Sandgate Mum’s - David A Hammond, do we have your full & undivided attention ), counting IS one of our strong points - criticism is futile and can’t offend us - EVER Second official training day of the week, is always Weights Wednesday - even though it’s the 3rd working day of the week and the fourth day of the entire week and hump day for most and prayer day for Dan, Wrench Wednesday for Troy (holiest day in a mechanix calendar ) and cloud9 day for Elise - even though she foolishly admitted to sleeping in, since today was her birthday, PT is apparently only tonight at cloud9 and ‘whatnotandshewantsatablefullofcake’... See, we CAN count... With that all nicely cleared up and abundantly explained to one and all (I’m even happy to provide a translation into Germany, just for Zahrins teacher, who suspects me of being not German, or a spy)I shall let the pictures tell the story. Needless to say, we had a great Weights Wednesday session, enjoyed bilingual counting (take that, Sandgate Mums) had Zahrin join us with infectious enthusiasm whilst Marianne (our resident seasoned & highly decorated educational professional & long suffering 1iC of the 2iC) kept count, even when we all lost count, even with her eyes closed and lying down whilst having her photo taken. 07.01.2022 SF Training Christmas Special 2020 turned out to be a fizzer in regards to Zombie apocalypse so as they say in the zombie killing business let's bring on 2021. At SF Training we can't even spell the 6 P's and only subscribe to the the 7 P's with the same reverence as 7 Up's. Prior, Preparation and Planning prevents Piss Pour PERFORMANCE. So 7P's it is. And nothing says I hate zombies more than grenade and bayonet assaults against a well fortified, dug in zombie defensive ...positions down on the Shorncliffe Foreshore. Once the 2IC had completed Cas and Ammo we went up to the Cafe for a coffee and some of Elise's famous vanilla slice that she makes when she offends someone or something. Not sure who it was this time but it was nice. Only a very small group with many AWOL's but they fought with the tenacity of a bolstered parachute company. A massive merry Christmas to all who have been a part of the SF Crew but I guess ill see most of you at the new years party. I am so lucky to have these crazies in my life, those who turn up at 0500h three times a week jumping through whatever ridiculous hoops I decide on the day as my very good friends. I am a much better person for knowing them.
