23.01.2022 A message from Prez Good evening to you all, It is with a tinge of sadness and a sense of responsibility that I have called off our event at the Vines this Sunday.... To those of you that nominated thankyou for your support. Last night Golf Australia put out a statement saying that all golf courses in Australia should close until we can safely say that we are over these tough times. With quite a few Clubs and courses in SA already closing and the restrictions that the governments have put in place I do not feel that running an event at the moment is in any body's best interest. Golf will always be there for us to come back to when we get through this. Keeping yourself and those around you safe and healthy is our number 1 priority. So please, please be careful and come back to play with SGA as soon as things get back to normal. Wishing you all the best in these uncertain times. When we have seen the back of this pandemic and things return to normality, don't worry I WILL be in contact with you to come and resume the season with us.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone With all the craziness around Covid-19--and the uncertainty regarding state borders opening/closing--the phones at SGA Headquarters have been ringing off the hook, especially regarding the upcoming Major Events like the SGA Championships, etc. "What happens if the borders are closed?" some of you are asking.... "Can I get a refund if we've already paid?" others query. "How can I hit my driver 370 yards over the lake like Bryson DeChambeau did this week??" asked nobody, but it is still a valid question. While we can't answer that last one, we CAN address the first two. We know how stressful it can be at a time like this, so we would like to put your mind at ease (even if it's just a little bit) and let you know that we have worked tirelessly with all of our event partners to guarantee that there are flexible refund policies in place. Essentially, you can BOOK WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE knowing you can access FULL REFUNDS if required in the case of outside agencies forcing travel cancellation, etc. We also want to reassure you that, even if (for example) golfers from some states aren't able to travel to The Gold Coast for the SGA Championships due to border restrictions, we will do everything in our power to ensure that the event will still go on (albeit with a smaller field, perhaps, etc). As has always been the case at SGA, we treat our golfers like family. We strive to offer Value, Flexibility and Choice, and are dedicated to ensuring you have the best experiences--both on the course and in the customer-service arena. So you can rest assured that "we've got your back" during these crazy times. So if you've already booked, it's all good. You're covered. And if you are considering booking, but have been hesitant, then don't worry, you'll be covered. 19.01.2022 For tomorrow's round there will be 4 NTP's, the 6th and 8th are par three's, 2nd shot on the par four 13th and 3rd shot on the par five 18th. We are still not allowed to use markers due to Covid restrictions so you will need to step it out, heel toe heel toe, and have one person in the group record the distance on the card supplied. With the course rated at 139 (whites) for the men and 142 (reds) for the ladies every one has a few extra shots up their sleeve. 17.01.2022 A note from Prez about tomorrows round We have a fantastic field of 34 golfers for Sundays event at Links Lady Bay. I've had to squeeze a couple of extra tee starts in so we are away a little bit earlier.... With such a large field it is important that we register by 8.15 am (next to the pro shop) and also get away from the first tee quickly. Covid protocol must be adhered to with only one group on any tee block at any time. Presentations will be short and sweet in the top car park out the back of the ute as restrictions are still in place. We will need to keep our distance. Don't worry, you WILL hear me.
