My first LIVE one is Somerset Storyfest which is one of the most creative kids and YA festivals in Australia - 16-20th March on the Gold Coast. Everyone is soooo excited. 18.01.2022 Just as the courageous US firefighters came to help fight the devastating fires in Australia, the courageous Australian firefighters are in the US to help fight the horrific wind-driven wildfires in California, Oregon, and Washington. Thankyou! Both in Australia and the USA, these are the worst recorded fires ever experienced. Caused by nature and exacerbated by climate change. It is heartbreaking at the loss of life, homes, wildlife and environment. Made, even worse during c...ovid. I was in Lithgow City Council in January when the bush fires hit Australia. As the Australia Day Ambassador it was crushing but inspiring to see the NSW Rural Fire Service, Volunteer fire fighters NSW , wildlife rescue, RSPCA NSW , Australian Defence Force, and the many community associations working tirelessly to save as many lives, animals and land from the fires. So much devastation. We all care!!!! There needs to be change,. 17.01.2022 As a children's & young adult author, publishers give birth to our long pregnancy of creating books. However school librarians are the carers who help raise the child. I spoke last night at the School Librarians Association South Australia to share how their 'children' are growing up. I shared my 'I Am Jack' books, trail blazers for children in addressing school bullying. When the Hon. Justice Michael Kirby spoke about 'I Am Jack' and bullying I was breathless. A Human Rights...
