06.01.2022 We are proud to tell our story of our assistance to hard working volunteers and worked in fire ravaged areas from Tarracutta to Tumblong. On Friday our staff spent all day sourcing a truck load of drinking water for delivery to fire fighters and emergency services in the remote fire ground areas. After travelling to the Cental Coast to load the truck, Kasim Salagic from SGP along with friends Mirso, Enver and Murat left at 7.30 am Saturday morning visiting Tarracutta, Humala,... Carabost,Rosewood, and Tumbarumba. When they reached Tumbarumba they encountered a blind man stranded, in all the confusion it seems he was overlooked. They drove this man from Tumbarumba to Wagga Wagga 110 kilometres away to deliver him to safety. After this they attempted to get to Tumut but were unable to due to the progression of the fires, and were diverted to Borombala via the Snowy Mountain Highway. Making deliveries along the way to Adelong Mt Adrah where they came under ember attack from the fires. The final delivery was made at Tumblong. All in all 1300 kilometres travelled in this mission of mercy. In our experience throughout this whole ordeal it was clear that the firefighters and emergency services were so busy dealing with the immediate problems the simple act of delivering fresh drinking water was thankfully received by all those we met.
