25.01.2022 The week before in English class we had an 'S' theme. We took that one step further and went to the Belstack Strawberry Farm, with women and the little ones pic...king and eating strawberries, and a home made strawberry ice cream too. Peter Tacey, the owner of the Strawberry farm told us a little about the history of the farm, showed us the original old homestead - over 100 years old and also of course explained to us how to best pick the strawberries to last longer at home (but they were so delicious I don't think they would have lasted the 2 weeks he told us they might ;-) ) Being an organic - bio-dynamic farm they sure were extra tasty strawberries and icecream. It was a first time for most to the strawberry farm in Kialla (just 10 minutes from central Shepparton) and the families hope to return again. 23.01.2022 On advice provided by the Department of Education and Training our school will move to remote and flexible learning to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Tomorrow, Tuesday August 4th is a Pupil Free Day Remote learning will commence on Wednesday August 5th. There will be limited availability for onsite supervision for: Children whose parents cannot work from home... Vulnerable children Children with a disability. A booking form (available on our website) must be completed and emailed to the schools email address no later that 12:00pm tomorrow Tuesday August 4th. Remote Learning Support Today students in Foundation, Grade 1 & 2 will receive a hard copy pack to complete this week. Students in Years 3 -6 will commence online learning from this Wednesday, Aug 5th. Devices for students in years 2-6 will be sent home this afternoon. Dongles for internet access will be allocated on request. Teachers will make contact this week on relevant online platform/ phones. Please answer Private Caller ID. 01.01.2022 In line with the easing of restrictions in regional and rural areas, school will commence for all students in Foundation to Grade 6 on Tuesday October 6th. There will be no onsite program on Monday October 5th. Students are reminded to bring along their own labelled drink bottle and sunhat. Social distancing restrictions remain in place for adults. We look forward to returning to a full onsite program.
