22.01.2022 NEW POLICY: DEPOSITS Hey guys! I am slowly introducing a deposit system due to the high amounts of last minute cancellations and no shows. As from now, any appointments from $90 or that takes up to an hour or more, a 50% deposit is required to lock in your appointment. Deposits will be made via the Online Booking System. If you have booked over the phone or through myself, a link will be sent for payment. Appointments will be cancelled after 24 hours if the deposit ...hasn’t been paid. As per our cancellation policy, this deposit will act as a Last Minute Cancellation/No Show Fee. If the appointment is rescheduled more than 24 hours, the deposit will roll over to that new appointment time. If the appointment is cancelled more than 24 hours prior to the appointment, the deposit will be used as store credit for your next appointment. Please Note: Deposits are non-refundable. As I am quite busy and cannot answer my phone at most times, online bookings are highly advised which you can find on the Book Now button . I will be introducing new booking policies in the new year! 12.01.2022 BROW LAMINATION AFTERCARE Let’s talk about aftercare to get the best out of your laminated brows! Here are things you SHOULD NOT do 24 hours post treatment for longevity results: Keep brows dry for 24 hours. Do not apply make-up or undertake further eye treatments for at least 24 hours after your treatment.... Avoid swimming/sauna/working out for 24-48 hours. Any excess moisture after this time can cause a slight curl/frizz to the brow hair. Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment. No self-tanning products should be used on the face for one week prior and 48 hours after treatment. If you can, apply brow serum daily which can be purchased at the studio. If your brow hairs move around different directions due to bumping or sleeping on them, this is normal. It’s just a quick matter of brushing the hairs back upwards for that fluffy, laminated look! Lamination should last a good 6-8 weeks Happy Laminating!!

05.01.2022 R U OK? I hold this very special to my heart. Here’s a bit of a back story about SHADY INK.... I, like millions of others suffered a great deal with mental health. Hell, there are days where I still struggle. I’m not embarrassed by this; in fact, I’m as open as I can be with this topic. And I thank my support network who constantly asked me if I was OK through rain, hail or shine. There was a point in my life where my self worth was completely diminished. Where I thought I h...ad no chance of living through it. No, Chance. At. ALL. Although, those around saw me completely different to how I saw myself. They never gave up on me. They saw all the potential in me I thought I’d lost. One by one and day by day, those people held me up until I finally found the courage to fix myself. It was one HELL of a ride, I tell ya... It was then I decided to take a risk and open up SHADY INK. To create self worth, a project, a direction in life. To be able to create art & beauty for everyone and make them feel confident about themselves. To make people smile and boost self love. To turn emotions to creations. To provide a safe, calm space. And here I am...This whole dream of mine came from a shady place, but it’s turned out to be a life saver. So, please - if you ever see someone struggling, it doesn’t hurt to ask.
