20.01.2022 MELTON HOSPITAL UPDATE: Great news, a new Melton Hospital will become a reality! The Victorian Government has today announced a very welcome $75 million in the ...State Budget to purchase the land and undertake detailed planning and early works for the 24-hour hospital. Together with our residents, we’ve advocated strongly for this vital facility and it’s a wonderful day for everyone who supported our campaign for a local public hospital. An incredible 21,000 people signed the petition, and outcomes like these are a credit to our whole community. This is an investment in good health and local jobs and we thank the Victorian Government for recognising that. After planning, the next steps will include the government acquiring land and allocating significant funds to construct the facility.
