20.01.2022 2 Years have gone by without you in our world. A part of our family is missing that will never be replaced. What we would all give to see you smile, crack a J.D and kick back with the boys. Cory Lee you were one of a kind and will never ever be forgotten.

19.01.2022 Sad news today for the Sharks. Before we started this journey we were given the OK to nominate a team in the 2020 BRL comp but unfortunately due to a reshuffle in the League office, the person who gave us the go ahead no longer holds a position at Rugby League Brisbane. A board meeting was held and it was decided that the The Shailer Park Rugby League Football Club will be denied affiliation for the 2020 season.... Although this is extremely disappointing it will not deter us. The Club and the concept behind it came about because of the Suicide of our Cory Lee. Anyone who knows us will know that our Men and Women are not just a team but they are our family. So make no mistake, this is not something we will walk away from!! We respect RLB's decision and will work hard this upcoming season, as a committee to continue our Cory Lee's Legacy and will make another bid to enter the comp in 2021. We would like to thank everyone who has been on this journey with us, your support and kind words only reinforces what we already knew, our young Men and Women need a Club like ours.

18.01.2022 Yesterday it would seem a member from another Club tagged one of their fellow members in our BBQ post which gave out directions as to where our BBQ was being held. The tag was quickly removed by its author. However the tagged person attended the park and began to take photos and at one point came right up to where our BBQ area was and looked around. Mate you could of come and talked to us, if you wanted some information to take back to your members. You see our Club welcomes... everyone. Our Club has come about because on the 1st of April 2018 we tragically lost our Cory Lee to suicide. Our motto has always been our team is our family. So to lose him has been devastating for a lot of people A lot of our boys have sat out for a year some have struggled and some still are. Never ever when we started this Club was it for any other reason than to give our young men and women a say and a reason to come together and help each other out. To give them an opportunity to use their voices and speak up through the one thing they love the most, their footy. As a Club our aim is to instill kindness, acceptance and respect. We implore all members of other Clubs to do the same.

15.01.2022 We want you all to know, especially with everything that is going on in the world at the moment, the Sharks will keep going and make every attempt to have at least one senior team on the paddock in 2021. Our boys are struggling mentally we know this much and we know that our boys need their team more than ever. Just because we are quite does not mean we have given up!

13.01.2022 What a great day for the Sharks. We put the call out and our Sharks family answered. We are truly humbled by the support shown today. We now move forward into 2020 with our Men's and Women's senior teams.

13.01.2022 It is with breaking hearts that we announce the loss of our much anticipated little Shark Desmond Allan Alexander Mackay-Wright who was born sleeping at 5.03am this morning weighing 2lb 9oz Jaiden and Cheryl, on behalf of all the Sharks family we offer our deepest condolences at this very sad time.

12.01.2022 Its a great day for a BBQ, the Shailer Park Sharks committee are here already setting up for this afternoon We have set a table and BBQ up near the playground and fishing pontoon, some footys to kick around and plenty of food for everyone

All funds raised from Club Merchandise will go into funding our Teams.... We will be taking orders for Supporters shirts in the next couple of weeks so watch this space. Please note Players shirts are part of a package which includes shorts and socks and will be received once sign on is finalised.

03.01.2022 After receiving the unfortunate news that the Shailer Park Sharks will be unable to field a team or teams for the 2020 season, we would love to wish all the players who wanted to play for the Sharks all the best for their 2020 season at which ever club you play for. We are still continuing our campaign to take the field in 2021. We still have a strong focus on mens mental health and are working to develop a safe place or mens shed where all will be welcomed without judgement when they need a mate to talk to. The Shailer Park Sharks are more than a football club, its a place where mates become family.

03.01.2022 We understand this is a tough time for a lot of people. We are grateful that a handful of our guys and girls have found a place to play this season but we also know that the majority haven't. With the current lockdown on training and fixtures up until May due to the Corona virus we realise that a lot will lose their main social outlet. Either playing or supporting.... The Sharks Committee would like to let you all know if you are struggling or just want to have a yarn, that there is always someone here who cares. We may not have been accepted into the league this year but it does not mean we have gone away. If at any time anyone needs an ear we want you to know we are here to listen without judgement anytime of the day or night.
