09.01.2022 With recent clothing donations, plenty of free work clothing in preparation for upcoming picking season etc., big tidy up and getting all in order for officially opening again on Wednesdays from 14th November 10am- 5pm. 01.01.2022 BE A LAMPLIGHTER The fabulous Meir Kay took to the streets to show us how easy it is to use social media to help give some homeless people in New York new cloth...ing. Using social media Meir reached out to friends and fans in the NYC area to see who had clothing to donate and with his friends they built a closet on wheels and gave out the donated clothing to those in need. **Make sure you watch the wonderful thing that happens at 5 mins into the video.**
01.01.2022 Apologies to any who may have dropped in at The Ruby Connection over these chilly winter months and wondering if we are open... ? It has been difficult to maintain our regular Wednesdays with my Community Services classes happening until October but mostly someone is around at the house and you are welcome to come to front door and ring the bell. Aim to open other fine days for the moment but also welcome to message if you know you're heading this way and will always open for special requests!!! We focus on our Food Share pickups and distributions on Tuesdays and anyone needing a bit of help, or know of someone who would appreciate a food hamper, happy to make it happen!
