24.01.2022 Omg we watched this documentary last night and I urge you all to watch it. It’s David Attenborough’s final documentary about life on this planet and a snap shot of the changes he has seen over his 94 years in wild places. It’s amazing and heart breaking and with this knowledge we can take action that can still bring hope. https://youtu.be/64R2MYUt394

19.01.2022 Imagine if we taught our children how to grow food in school. Imagine if we were taught how to compost as part of our school curriculum. Imagine if our next generation were taught just our delicate and important sustainable living and soil life was for their health and the planets. Many schools are beginning to embrace the idea of bring food gardens into the school. I would love to see food growing being taught in every school around the world. . .... . #learntogrowfood #teachingkidstogrowfood #grow #growyourownfood #shambhalafarm #farmschool See more

18.01.2022 Back in the farm garden picking dahlia flowers . Chrissy fell in love with dahlia’s a year ago and we have been planting small patches of them most weeks since then. We are still learning the techniques of growing these beautiful blooms and love harvesting fresh bunches for the house. These flowers were planted in the course garden and this afternoon they needed to be harvested. Did you know the more you harvest these kinds of flowers the more they bloom. Yay !! . . . . #flowerfarmer #flowers #cutflowers #dahlias #shambhalafarm

18.01.2022 Growing vertical. Today in the course garden we were focusing on maximising the yield with different kinds of bio intensive practices. Trellising is one simple way to utilise the vertical space and double or triple your growing area. We used simple, easy to find materials from the farm, including bamboo and hardwood stakes plus jute string and trellised the cucumbers, tomato and zucchini. Each has a slightly different method but all are simple to install and can be very productive. . . . #verticalgarden #trellising #simpletrellis #biointensive #shambhalafarm

16.01.2022 Each morning the earth is kissed by the bare feet of the Shambhala Farm team. There is a giving and receiving is this exchange. A pulse of life that flows through us all. To feel the energy of this life giving earth on a daily basis is the greatest gift we could receive. I encourage you at some point today to take off your shoes and feel the earth beneath your feet let them kiss the ground. 11.01.2022 Hi Everyone, my name is Craig Thomas Hubbard and I’m an organic farmer at Shambhala Farm on the Sunshine Coast Australia. During the covid time our food box home delivery quadrupled. However many of our customers shared their fears of not being prepared and worried about providing food for their families during this unstable time. At the time my wife Chrissy Beth I were just about to have a new bub (born in June 17th ) and it was a frightening time to go through this with ...everything going on in the world. Chrissy, being an American, meant her family were unable to be here which was very difficult for her and meanwhile we were also doing our best to grow and produce enough food for our local community. After our bub (Birdie Skye) was born, I realised just how vulnerable I felt as a parent to continue to produce and provide food for my family and the many other families that relied on us. I asked how could I best provide while supporting my new family. The inspiration came while listening to a Russell Brunson podcast and finding out about a project with my all time favourite peak performance coach Tony Robbins . With that inspiration we created our online program called the 12 Week Food Growing Course and launched it over the weekend and it’s already starting to sell out. The intention is to teach people all around locally & around the world the essential skill of growing their own food. The vision, is to teach families how to grow food, nourish their immune system and connect back to nature. While also giving back to those that can’t get access to fresh healthy food. So with every course sold we are donating 100 meals to those who need it most. Through both @foodbankaus and @feedingamerica with the goal to teach 10,000 people the essential skill of food growing and in doing so we will feed 1 million people!!! My belief is, every change for good begins with a seed of intention. What is the seed of change that you want to plant in the garden of your life? If you know anyone that would love to learn to grow their own food I would love if you tag them or share this post. You can find more information on the 12 week food growing course in the link below Thankyou @ Noosa, Queensland I am looking to collaborate with other wellness practitioners, if you also have an online offering and would like to work together please send me a message. www.shambhalagrowing.com
