25.01.2022 OK VICTORY FOR MINÍ AND OKJ TOP 5 FOR WHARTON IN THE LAST ROUND OF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP The prestigious track of Le Mans hosted the last of four rounds of Eu...ropean Championship. Parolin Racing demonstrated a strong potential in both OK and OKJ. Miní shined throughout the whole weekend and completed the job with perfect race in the final, winning the race and becoming the Vice European Champion. Bad luck for Sasse, author of a great comeback in the final, from P17 to P7; unfortunately a kart involved in an accident hit him while going off the track in the last corner and that resulted as a DNF for the German driver. Positive weekend for the Aussie Wharton, who recently re-joined the team and immediately demonstrated a great determination with a weekend at the front, winning one heat and concluding fifth in the final. Bitter end for Badoer, who started the final from P27, but was involved in a contact at the first corner. See more

20.01.2022 Australian Kart Championship regulars Noah and Cooper Lisle unfortunately missed the last round in Emerald Karting Club due to overseas commitments. Overnight the boys impressed in the IAME X30 Euro Series at Wackersdorf Germany, both inside the top half of the field. James Wharton has also taken some time away from his regular commitments to compete in X30 Junior for something different . Qualifying... 17.01.2022 Solid Saturday for Shamick Racing at the 35th City of Melbourne Titles. Leigh Nicolaou took pole and a heat win in X30. Bailey Sweeny Racing debuted in the class and is on for a top 10 finish tomorrow. The ever improving James Lodge was back in 26 for qualifying in KA3 Junior on a drying track and in his last lap elevated himself to P6. From here he drove to 4th in heat 1 and won heat 2. He starts pole for heat 3 tomorrow as does Nicolaou and Cadel Ambrose Racing who won both... his heats in cadet 12 in his new Parolin Racing Kart opportunity cadet chassis. Peter Bouzinelos had a 2nd and 5th to put him in a box seat for tomorrow’s action. Kiwi Maxim Kirwan Racing found pace in heat 2 to join Sam March at the pointy end of the cadet 9 field. Mitchell Mackay continues to show great speed in KA3 medium but a DNF in heat 2 dampened his day. In TaG Light Jordan Nicolaou is every chance to win tomorrow whilst Jaymi Mackay, Hamish Fitzsimmons and Jaxon Johnstone need to sort their issues before Super Sunday. Pace Images

08.01.2022 I had an eventful lead up to Rnd 4 of the Australian Kart Championship in Emerald with my mum and sister contracting Influenza A 9 days out and my poppy passin...g away 3 days out from racing. My mum did an amazing job to ensure Dad & I didn't contract influenza The weekend started well with qualifying with a .001 difference between myself and the pole sitter. An unfortuate hit on the first corner of the first lap in H1 resulted in a DNF which took away some valuable series points. The final was a great race consisting of 20 laps, though I started out of P6 I moved into P3 with 12 laps to go and then moved back into P4 with 4 laps to go with a considerable gap to reach the two front runners. With 1 lap to go I knew I needed to do some deep braking to pull the front runners in and I managed to do that on the main straight and then again on the back straight where I was able to put my kart into P3 on the last corner before the big sweeper and the checkered flag. I was really proud to finish on the podium and I truly know that I gave Fireman Poppy one cracking last drive in my Parolin kart. Huge thanks to Luke May, Dankowski Paul and the entire Shamick Racing and Parolin Racing Kart Team for their endless support and great laughs that they give me at every round. Congratulations to William Seal on his first KA2 win, enjoy your celebrations and Luke Pink on finishing P2. Also not to be forgotten Jimmy Piszcyk who spent the final in the top two positions to have it taken from him on the last 2 corners of the last lap by myself and Luke to finish P4. 07.01.2022 Rail, Hail or Shine Shamick Racing is ready for the last round of the AKC

06.01.2022 Pole in cadet 12 and a podium in KA2!!! It was the young team members that stood up at Emerald Karting Club for a successful weekend within Shamick Racing. Peter Bouzinelos kicked the team off to a great start with a lap that put his Parolin Racing Kart in front of the cadet 12 field. Great pace throughout the heats had him start the final from 6 and battling at the front before slipping back to a credible top 10 finish.... Ethan Feather made it a trifecta of podiums in his only 3 Australian Kart Championship starts with our team. In similar fashion to his debut at Newcastle Kart Racing Club he had to fight from deep in the pack in the final to cross the line 3rd in memory of his Pop. Jay Coul who yesterday celebrated his birthday finally got to show his speed in a final. After not finishing a final for the last 7 attempts, Jay had pace equal to anyone in the KZ2 field. A bad start meant he couldn’t challenge for victory but 5th in his Parolin Invader chassis showed that he will be the one to beat come round 5 at Go Kart Club of Victoria. Mitchell Mackay, Bailey Sweeny and James Lodge had a difficult weekend while Hamish Fitzsimmons moved into seniors and should be proud of his achievements throughout. We welcomed cadet 9 driver Samuel March who improved from his previous round result and will only get stronger as he becomes accustomed with the Parolin opportunity chassis. We want to thank each and everyone within Shamick Racing for making these weekends what they are. A special mention to John Walker for stepping in and helping our team in absence of some regular members. Pole on debut , might need to get you back mate. Time to moisturise the skin and make sure the Emerald, Queensland sun tan stays prevalent for the fast approaching 35th City of Melbourne Titles August 2-4.

02.01.2022 With scorching temperatures above 35 degrees the Go-Kart Wackersdorf track provided some intense racing over night. Unfortunately James Wharton struck mechanical gremlins that forced him to miss the start of the pre final after pulling into pit lane to get it sorted on the warm up lap. This had him start the final from grid 29. By lap 10 he was setting lap times faster than those out front and worked his way to 18th before an on track incident shuffled him back to 27th a lap ...later. Crossing the line 23rd, he was later awarded 19th after penalties were handed out. For the Arise Racing brother duo of Noah and Cooper Lisle it was a different scenario. Noah comfortably ran in the top 10 all weekend and worked his way into 6th for the final before eventually crossing the line 8th. Brother Cooper had a stellar opening lap and was also in the 10 before a race long battle with a pack of drivers shuffled him back and a post race front fairing penalty saw him classified 19. For their first attempt at the IAME X30 Euro Series all 3 should hold their heads high. Flying the Australian flag high and proud in front of the worlds best. Karting Australia KartSportNews
