25.01.2022 Our favourite contractor Barry from BSK requested some extra labourers for the day!!! We thought we could give him a wide selection to choose from, they are top quality workers that are very inquisitive and eager to help out where they can especially in the shade. #SRV #Wagyu #BSKElectrical

22.01.2022 Due to the thick fog on farm this morning, all bees have been grounded, no take offs or landings until their runways cleared. The cattle are searching for a sunny spot to warm up, hopefully the fog will start to lift soon for a lovely day here on Shamrock Vale Station. #SRV #Scenicrimsunrise

21.01.2022 Another beautiful day at Shamrock Vale Station. Cold mornings, warms days but still very dry across our district. We can never expect much rain for August. Late September usually brings the afternoon storms.

21.01.2022 Cutting through some fire breaks in preparation for our annual winter cool burn project. This will also help if we are faced with another high fire season come summer. We couldn’t wipe the smile from Nathan’s face when we scheduled this into his work program. #SRV #farmlife #landmanagement

18.01.2022 What an adventure we endured on Saturday night with freezing cold 50 Kph winds blowing from the south/south west. It wasn’t a great night to be fighting a fire and protecting a shed full of hay. An old hollowed out tree was the culprit, with its root system catching fire earlier in the week unseen from ground level by our recent fire reduction burns around the farm. Safety was our priority with staff on hand and saving our hay and equipment but unfortunately the part of our bull rail fence didn’t survive. If this wasn’t spotted in time, we could have lost the entire shed and contents. Well done to Dave, Nat, Marius, Russell and Tania for your efforts throughout the night and keeping everything safe from a potential disaster.

17.01.2022 We love being involved with Wwoof Australia. We have made so many life long friends.

16.01.2022 Did you know that pollination is not just important for the food we eat directly, it’s vital for the foraging crops used to feed the livestock we depend on for meat. Just as importantly, it helps to feed many other animals in the food chain and maintains the genetic diversity of the flowering plants. #savethebees #shamrockvalestation #pollination

16.01.2022 Had a beautiful visit from a little friend today. King Parrots are such pretty birds.

01.01.2022 So happy to finally receive some well awaited rain in our local community, with dams and creeks slowly filling. Hopefully, this wet weather pattern keeps heading south to assist in the fire and drought torn communities in our great country.

01.01.2022 Progress and production coming along beautifully here at Shamrock Vale. Achieving 100% positive preg testing results in one of our Elite Cattle herds, along with our new Honey Queens breeding extremely well.
