At at best you may save a couple of hundred dollar per annum at a glance, although the failure to calculate into this factor the "irreversible anatomical destruction". Not to mention the retardation of developmental growth and performance (which directly relates to dollars) the animals working life is decreased by a greatly viable amount. I deeply question their (actual) business skill (certainty horsemanship) if data of such high value is ignored from calculation... is this simply a case of "penny wise, pound ignorance" of a complete lack of trust for the Farriers knowledgeable ability of biomechanics to factor ALL aspects for "long term" sound performance....?
