The ...Cytec's are excellent in bringing horses back to soundness after laminitis, but from my experience they are also invaluable in the management and longevity of my competition horses. See more

22.01.2022 A heart warming sight. With a history of reoccurring lameness, awful flat weak souls. lameness was severe. he was put on antibiotics and anti inflammatories wit...h no improvements and consideted old age the vet suggested euthanasia would be the pathway ( also calling a guy about digging a hole just in case)... but then within 10 minutes of john applying cytek shoes, he gained 90% soundness. he'd had shoes in the past, then tried boots with no improvement. More than 12 months on with dedication from owner and from johns years of expertise teaching me. We have managed to keep improving comfortability to the happy footed horse we see. Its been great fun watching this one come bavk to life. See more

19.01.2022 Modern day shoeing failing at its best. Rimshoing centralises weight bearing support to to the most outer edge of the hoof. Causing maximum leverage to the fing...er nail. With no structural support under the bones the wall hyperflexes to abnormailty. The misconception of basic hoof functionality resulted in poor condition and controversial treatment. With proper supportive shoeing (cytek) we have developed healthy growth in a short period of 6 months. Considering thesr cracks had been a problem for years, 6 months is good. Another benefit was with the first set of shoes this horse stopped over reaching which gave the heel bulbs a chance to heal . And he stopped tripping instantly. See more
