18.01.2022 FOR SALE We usually have wether ( castrated) males available for sale as herd guardians at most times. Currently priced at $330 inc gst with price reductions if purchase more than 2. Free delivery to local area ( Inverell and district). Will only sell in pairs if do not already have alpacas - this is because alpacas do best with at least one other of their own kind and it also makes for more effective guarding of lambs, kids and chooks, contact us for more info on this. Typic...ally we are approached for our boys when losses are already occurring from foxes, it is best to get in before your livestock babies are due so the alpaca guards can bond with the nannies and ewes well before the babies are due. PM or email us for enquiries [email protected]. All sale boys come with full printed health and husbandry history plus information on care of alpacas. We also have breeding females for sale at various prices. See more
17.01.2022 Whilst white suri is our main passion and they predominantly make up our herds, we have been slowly developing a small line of black suri as well the last few years. Here is our latest addition, Shangrilah Gomez, born earlier this week. He is a very strong and healthy cria who was off and racing right from the start. His dam is our Bellawood Demi and his sire is Pacofino Zanzibar. Thank you so much to Linda Davies and Paul Cramley of Pacofino who gave us the opportunity to have Zanzibar stand at stud with us to get some matings from him.
16.01.2022 A special little girl arrived today and we have christened her Shangrilah Callista. She is special because she will very likely be the last cria for her dam Jingana Ariadne. Ariadne is now 17 and a dear sweet girl we have grown very fond of, so we think she deserves an easier life after she has finished rearing Callista, Callista is her 15th cria as Ariadne was a donor in the former Jingana herd ET pogramme and we are very fortunate to have had her last 4 natural babies who h...ave all been female and we also purchased one of her adult daughters. Callistas sire is our Cedar House Moonflute. She is perfect in every way and born at 375 days gestation ( not our herd record), her ears are inside out but having had this before we find they generally correct themselves, if they dont start to turn we help them along by taping them. In the meantime we will put suncream on them of a morning as past experience has taught us that more sensitive insides of ears are very prone to sunburn when on the outside. See more
12.01.2022 We are having a great run of females so far in this years autumn births, this morning we greeted another little girl who we have named Shangrilah Sovereign Lady. She is very strong and active and was standing, albeit shakily 5 minutes after being born and had her frist drink within twenty minutes. Her dam ,Madame Marigold, is being kept very busy following Sovereign Lady as she discovers her new world.

10.01.2022 well this young lad didnt muck around. Our first owned black stud male, Palmer, was purchased late last year. This past weekend at just over 2.5 years we offered him some girls for the first time, after a minute or 2 of sniffing he started orgling and pushed down this young maiden and then went on to mate her mother as well straight after. Just what we like, a boy that knows what he wants and does not mucjk around. He is now a man!!
09.01.2022 Who me, never, it wasnt me that went rolling in the raked up grass and leaf pile just before being penned for shearing, why would you think that???
08.01.2022 What the? What do you mean he has a stick wedged in to the side of his face? We know humans can get themselves into some peculiar situations and so can alpacas. This boy was found at afternoon checks and feed with this piece of stick wedged in to the side of his nasal bone, it was not there this morning. It was about as big as my thumb. Absolutely no idea how this could have come to be and he was not behaving like anything was odd, not even showing the slightest sign of pain or discomfort and has not since he has been treated and the stick removed either. Just another reminder of the need to do daily herd checks and grateful that we do as this would likely have ended in infection if not found quickly or been wedged in further toward his eye if he rubbed it.

03.01.2022 This little girl named Quibilah ( already Quibie for short) was born earlier this week. Her dam has made it very difficult to get any decent photos as she is being so protective and takes her away if we get within about 50 metres of her, so much so that when I took the coat off after her first night, her normally passive and easy to manage mother started slamming her whole body in to me while screaming to get me away, nothing is going to get her baby!
