22.01.2022 This was the toughest test of endurance on course thus far. The sled weighs 100kg. It was the day after 1metre of snow fell. On the next mountain there were skiers ripping first tracks all day. Ohhh so close. It’s the first time in my life I’ve cursed knee deep powder! 11.01.2022 This was about a 60 min March out. Hypothermia hit me for a third time in 6 days. I’d hidden the second two well but trekking out I started to black out again. Up until now it only affected me, if I dealt with it all was ok. Heading into interrogation my actions would impact dramatically on my fellow recruits and adversely affect their progress. I couldn’t have that on my conscience. With only one day to go I am still comfortable with my decision to VW. It was an incredible experience and I found my point. I highly recommend seeking your own. @sasaust7 @eatbcm @asicsaustralia @compex.anz @ayers.and.co to the 5 warriors left you’re all exceptional.
06.01.2022 This has particularly strong resonance for me on this Remembrance Day. On course @sasaust7 the DS reinforced that we only sleep in warm beds nightly because of the sacrifices made by others. Over 102,000 Aussie that have paid the ultimate sacrifice, thank you. To all the others who have suffered, so we can maintain our wonderful Australian ways and lifestyle, Thank you. Never taken for granted. #lestweforget
