25.01.2022 Only 15 hours to go until the overnight marathon! Which means it’s not to late for you to donate. I’ll be walking 42km’s, starting at 10pm and finishing hopefully around 5am the next morning. All money goes to Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia which assists families of seriously ill children.... Head to the below link to donate what you can. https://www.upallnight.org.au/fundraiser/shannonbritten

24.01.2022 7 years married to my love today. We never had a chance at an ordinary love story, so we did what we do best . . . we made it extraordinary. The broken will always be able to love harder than most. Once you've been in the dark, you learn to appreciate everything that shines. Photography by Gregory Paul Photography

24.01.2022 Does anyone know this couple?

23.01.2022 When I was 14 years old I started boarding school in the big smoke. I was a scared, sad and homesick kid from a little town in the bush when a teacher called Jim Lawson took me under his wing and guided me through the next few years of high school. His kindness has stayed with me all these years and I have always held him in such high esteem. Today, I had the ultimate honour of being his Celebrant.... Congratulations Mr and Mrs Lawson!

23.01.2022 Such a beautiful start to a Sunday morning. This was my view at 7.30am, half an hour before two beautiful girls married each other in front of just 4 people.

23.01.2022 My Sunday evening advice to you all!

22.01.2022 A few months ago I ventured out to Bibra Lake for an early morning wedding at a stunningly secluded and intimate little bit of earth at the Bibra Lake Reserve, for two absolutely beautiful ladies, Claire & Liz. . It was a truly heart felt occasion with only the two brides, myself, the photographer and three other people, two of which were only children. . Some of the most memorable and best weddings I have been involved with have also been the smallest and most intimate. You ...don't need to spend a fortune to get married, you don't need to have the big fanfare and circus. If you do, that is great, but it is not a requirement. . If you spend $100,000 on a wedding you are no more married then someone who has spent $650 on a wedding. The outcome is still the same. . 22.01.2022 I know this is not wedding related in the slightest, but damn it is such a worthwhile cause! Call me crazy but I have decided to do a 42km night walk in an effort to raise some money for Ronald McDonald House. Walking in an overnight marathon isn’t going to be easy, but it’s nothing compared to being the parent of a sick child. I was fortunate in that all of Joshua's health issues were very minor, some parents are not so lucky!... I would love some sponsors and donations, so any spare change that you could manage for these gorgeous kids and their struggling families would go a very long way. Go to the below link, get your credit card out and put your details in! https://www.upallnight.org.au/f/shannonbritten/up-all-night

22.01.2022 This December I'll be walking 42km in Up All Night for sick kids and their families and raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia. I am also going to be doing it for that beautiful boy of mine that is in the attached picture. It could easily have been my family that needed to lean on this charity. Tonight and every night up to 59 families will be sleeping at the Nedlands and PCH Ronald McDonald Houses. These families have had their worlds turned upsi...de down, finding themselves hundreds (even thousands) of kilometers from home with a seriously ill or injured child. In 2017 Ronald McDonald House Charities WA provided 13,140 nights of accomodation to 1087 new and returning families. They delivered 3,308 tutoring sessions to 127 Learning Program students and they had 215 volunteers selflessly give 15,781 hours of service. You can support Ronald McDonald House Charities, and me without breaking a sweat, or even getting out of bed. God willing, none of us will ever need their servies, but if you ever found yourself in the unfortunate position of depending on them, how thankful would you be that there were people out there who donated some money to keep this wonderful charity going. 22.01.2022 Happy Friday Beautiful people! Just thought I would share this with you in the hope that you will support my new adventure. As some of you may know, in March 2020 we were fortunate enough to be in a position to purchase a holiday home in Moore River or Guilderton, where the river meets the sea. Moore River is a very special place to us and always has been so we decided (when we are not using our beautiful home) we will rent it for short term stays so others can use it as a ho...liday house and make the same happy memories that we have made and continue to make. Anyhoo . . . . below is the Facebook page for our new venture, where you will find the Airbnb link. I would love it if you could throw some support my way and like this page, even if you are not in the market to visit Moore River. Hope to see you, one day, where the river meets the sea. https://www.facebook.com/mooreriveraccommodation

22.01.2022 Great night for a ride! Testing out my new helmet that Santa bought me! #bikerchick #harleydavidson #eurogliders

19.01.2022 You are my blue crayon. The one that I never have enough of, the one I use to colour my sky. <3 . I love you and I will always love you like it's the beginning. .... Happy Valentine's Day. See more

17.01.2022 Are you on Instagram? If so pop over and look me up.

15.01.2022 Up All Night is now done and dusted. Out of 918 participants Tim and I crossed the finish line in the top 30. Not bad for a couple of old bastards who were completely under trained for it. Thank you so much to my wonderful husband who did it out of love. The only reason he took part was because he didn’t want me walking the dark streets alone overnight. At the moment I have huge blisters all over my feet, I’ve done some serious damage to my legs and can’t wa...lk, I can’t stop vomiting but it was worth it not just for an incredible achievement of walking 42km in just under 7 hours, but also to raise money to assist the families of seriously ill children. In saying that though, I will NOT be returning for 2019 unless it’s working there as a volunteer! #uan2018 #keepingfamiliesclose #strongertogether See more

15.01.2022 It’s been a very difficult 12 months, especially with you being away the last 3 weeks, but today you did it. All that hard work and sacrifice has paid off. So incredibly proud. #aipm #postgraduatedegree #timbritten #myhusbandmyhero

15.01.2022 As we take in the final sunset of 2018 I reflect upon the year that was and the lessons I learnt and all I have to be grateful for. I’ve been very blessed this year and it was never lost on me. Have a wonderful New Year and I hope that 2019 is your best year to date. #nye2018 #2019comeatme #newyearseve

14.01.2022 Time flies when your job is all about love.

14.01.2022 This is one hell of a Plan B! When wet weather unexpectedly strikes, Amy at The Yanchep Inn certainly delivers! Such a gorgeous alternative location.

14.01.2022 My view this afternoon. . After being in the wedding game for this long, I very rarely get to do a wedding at a location I’ve never been to before. . I struck it rich this weekend though! Both my Saturday and Sunday weddings were at venues I’ve never been to before.... . I’ve seen more of my beautiful state since being a Celebrant then ever before. #celebrant #perthcelebrant #perthcelebrants #celebrantlife #celebrantperth #celebrantperks #married #ido #love #marriedinperth #marriage #marriagecelebrant #marriagecelebrants #marriagecelebrantperth #nakedapplecider #nakedappleciderhouse #marriedbyshan See more

14.01.2022 This time next week I will getting ready to be Up All Night! At 10pm next Saturday night I will be starting a 42km walk to show my support to all those parents of sick children who need to use Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia, and are literally up all night with worry and love for their sick children. I was going to be doing it with a friend but she has since now been scheduled for an ankle reconstruction, so instead by awesome husband will be keeping me comp...any. We are not expected to complete this walk until 6am on Sunday, 2 December 2018. You can show us your support without even breaking a sweat, or getting out of bed. Click on this link and donate some money to this amazing cause. It is by the pure grace of God that it is not you that needs this service, so help out others who are not so fortunate! https://www.upallnight.org.au/f/shannonbritten/up-all-night

13.01.2022 My apologies to everyone for not responding to emails and returning your phone calls. This brave little superstar was having some minor surgery, so all my attention and time went to him. All is good and he is now home and resting and I’m already in my office at 6.24am making up for lost time and getting back to my beautiful clients. Thank you for your patience!

12.01.2022 You are my today, and all of my tomorrow’s. Happy wedding anniversary lover! It’s been one hell of an adventure, and the best is yet to come. ... Photography by Gregory Paul Photography

12.01.2022 It has been a very long time between posts but with everything going on in the world, I genuinely had nothing to offer that was of any value. Everyone was fighting a battle of some kind and I figured the last thing everyone needed was to be bombarded with content from yet another Facebook page. But, I just wanted to pop in to your news feed and let you know I am still here, and for me . . . it is still business as usual. I'm still here. I'm still doing weddings. I am still wishing you all the love and bravery in the world.

11.01.2022 It’s my day off work, from my proper job that is but the hustle and bustle doesn’t stop. Today in between school drop offs, and all the work meetings and appointments lined up for today this is the only chance to fit in breakfast #workingmum #workingmumlife #perthcelebrant #marriedbyshan #shannonbritten #celebrant

09.01.2022 16 years ago today Australia’s favourite playground exploded in a ball of fire. To my very own hero, a lot of people are thankful you were there. If you weren't there they would not be here. They owe you their lives, something I’m sure they are grateful for, especially today. You are one of Australia’s greatest heroes, you ran towards what everyone else ran from. May the pain you feel in your heart this time of year, every year continue to heal. Much love and many prayers t...o those who lost loved ones on this day. And to those that were lost, a stolen moment came your way, you now sing where Angels play. Rest in peace and sleep well. #myhusbandmyhero #bali #balibombing2002

09.01.2022 Taken at the 28 km mark and God we were hurting, but it’s nothing compared to what those poor little kids go through. Worth every step and every sliver of pain. #uan2018 #strongertogether #keepingfamiliesclose

09.01.2022 Last weekend I had the incredible privilege and honour of conducting the wedding ceremony for these two absolutely wonderful ladies at the The Pavilion Mindarie. They first met in 2005 and became best friends, five years later they discovered they were love. They have waited 8 years to be able to stand up in front of their family and friends and become each other's wife.... It was such a special and amazing day, one which will continue to give me goose bumps for a very long time. I wish all the love and the happiness in the world to these gorgeous girls! Congratulations Mrs & Mrs N. Photography by Cristel Newport.

09.01.2022 TOTAL BRAG POST Very proud of this gorgeous man of mine. Light for Riley have just announced that he is the newest Ambassador for the Immunisation Foundation of Australia.

06.01.2022 Sliding in to the weekend like this . . . .

05.01.2022 And the love affair continues. Two years ago I bought a little book called the The Barefoot Investor. I read it cover to cover and implemented all the changes within a week. It was truly life changing! . I refer to it at least once a week, it has parts highlighted in it and notes scribbled in pencil all through it. It’s my financial bible and is never far from arms reach. . Last week I bought his second book and OMG, it is going to change the mindset and the lives of my kids.... I’m so excited for their future, they are in very safe hands. . #barefootinvestor #barefootinvestorforfamilies #noselfentitledkidshere #puttingthekidstowork See more

03.01.2022 Wow. Much love to our Victoria friends.

03.01.2022 ONE HUNDRED // Today I solemnised my 100th wedding! A huge effort and one I’m immensely proud of, especially since I’m not taking on a lot of weddings anymore and have only done about 7 in the last year and a half. . That’s 100 love stories, 200 loved up people, thousands of kilometres travelled, bucket loads of tears, tonnes of tissues, an immeasurable amount of happiness. . To all my beautiful couples, thank you for letting me be a part of your adventure. I intimately reme...mber each and every part of your day, all 100 of those beautiful moments. . Here’s to the next See more
