25.01.2022 What is the point of Aikido>? The founder, Morihei Ueshiba 1883-1969 said "Each and every master, regardless of the era or the place, heard the call and attained harmony with heaven and earth. There are many paths leading to the top of Mount Fuji, but there is only one summit - love." How do you create harmony in your life? I feel more harmony when I get more sleep! lol How about you?... 20.01.2022 Many people think if they have a boy- I'll send my boy to martial arts! That's a very good plan and and awesome way of thinking! And....It is also an excellent plan and an awesome way of thinking if you have a girl... Aikido is wonderful for both boys and girls as it is soft and martial, graceful and strong. Qualities we want in all out kids! ... After School Sunny Kids' Aikido Eumundi, 3:40 - 4:30 Pm/ ages 5-10 If your children are ages 11-18, pls let me know you want to be on the waiting list. When I have 5 committed families, I will open that age group at 4:30 Fridays.

06.01.2022 Wow!! I just found this, so I really did start my love of training in the beautiful Art that is Aikido 28 years ago. TWENTY EIGHT!!! LOL time flies when you're flying across a tatami mat! (Edit- apparently I was 14 in this photo, so it's been 30 year!! OMG!) Actually, I have had many breaks (I mean, rests). A five year break, plus several 3, 2, or 1 year breaks! So dedicated training has been about 10 years, plus about 10 years of more relaxed attendance training! This week..., I am so happy to announce that my Friday class is now open to adults and teens. 1 pm, Eumundi at the hall at the end of town next to the swimming pool. Call 0423 918 955 for any info. And when you want to move on from the beginner's class, my teacher, Chicko Charles Xerri teaches the most beautiful Aikido in the same location. He embodies Aiki practice and spirit with such grace. 05.01.2022 Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your school holidays Children have been having so much fun in classes, they are learning how to fall over properly, building body confidence and awareness, learning Aikido techniques, building muscle and inner strength! Sunny Kids' Aikido starts up again on the 17th of July! ... Eumundi and Cooran are weekly during state school terms. In Cooran, some weeks will be on Weds, and some on Tues (Wednesdays begin on the 17th July, then every second week onwards till next school holidays, Tuesdays from the 23rd July onwards till next school holidays) Tuesdays/Wednesdays - Cooran Human Movement Therapies 10 am Children (ages open) Fridays - Women's beginner classes 1pm Children's ages 5-10 3:40-4:30 pm I also offer English and Japanese for homeschooled children, so let me know if you are keen on that, too. 03.01.2022 How could Aikido benefit your teenager? Classes for 11-18 year olds are a possibility in Eumundi when I get 5 keen families. Aikido Benefits for Teens: 1. Confidence Building. 2. Strength Building (Inner, outer, physical, mental, emotional & Spiritual) 3. Character Building (Sometimes in training, it's challenging, we learn how to fall on the ground, roll, extend ourselves beyond what we would do in everyday life) 4. Connection Building (This class is open t...o ages 11-18 from any school, in Eumundi, 4:40-5:30 each term Friday. Life long friends can be made at training- I am still friends with my lovely Karina Hahn from 30 years ago!! - when I was 16 and my first Aikido teacher was a woman/ As an emerging young woman, this experience was gold) What aspect would your teen love or need? What other aspects are present in Aikido training? Aikido is often translated as "the way of unifying (with) life energy" or as "the way of harmonious spirit".
