25.01.2022 There’s been a rise in the use of so many words and terms this year: e.g, unprecedented, pivot, pandemic, new norm, social distancing - the list goes on! These are not necessarily new words, but like the humble mask emoji, they’ve sure had their fair share of airplay in 2020! Another word that’s getting thrown around is ‘elopement.’ I’m getting loads of new enquiries that go along the lines of: We’ve decided to elope, just us and 20 guests ... So I thought I’d sit down a...nd explain a few terms and definitions to hopefully dispel any myths about what an elopement is and is not with the aim to inform along the way. 23.01.2022 Getting my boss lady strut back on, ready to herd up to 100 at weddings from 23/11/20! Very welcomed news for my December and beyond couples hoping for a few extra bums on seats! 20.01.2022 My heart is full and so is 2021! With the exception of cheeky midweek elopements, I’m unable to take on any new couples for 2021. Weekends are at absolute capacity, and I’m super conscious that in order to maintain quality and great relationships with my couples, my books must now close on what will be a jam packed year ahead of all things love!... It’s also time to make sure my little family gets a good slice of my heart and time too. 03.01.2022 How I feel about today’s announcements! I’m so thrilled for my couple’s who’ve been literally pendulum swinging between plans and dates on the daily! These easing of restrictions for them mean so much; one terminally ill mother can now see her daughter marry with the support she needs to be there, a metro mum can witness her regional son marry his love in real life rather than via livestream, one family doesn’t have to select which of their four children miss out on attendi...ng, and the opening of hospitality means one restaurant owning couple can now afford to actually have a wedding. These are just a handful of stories behind the celebrations that I’m so incredibly privileged to be a part of in the coming months.
