04.01.2022 The Australian Welfare State has failed. Newstart is not enough for a healthy, otherwise unsupported Australian to live on, let alone a person without employment, who pays rent or who has any sort of medical issues. As for the amount of jobs out there; how many of these jobs offer full time employment that provides a living wage? And how many more jobs were destroyed to provide those new jobs.... The welfare state has to be rebuilt. The gig economy needs to end. We have policies that will make those changes.
