18.01.2022 Today has been a massive win for our industry, with the government lifting restrictions on remedial massage therapy, however it's all a little bitter-sweet for me! Unfortunately I haven't quite finished my Diploma. I had just 1 clinic left to finish which was scheduled for the weekend of 28/29th March...just 4 days after the massage industry was shut down! Sadly, due to this I am still unable to re-commence operation at this time.... The good news however, is that our clinic has regained Tiani back with the easing of these restrictions! 13.01.2022 Over the weekend some of the AFC team and I got to get some extra skills in with an awesome taping seminar by @rocktapeaustralia ! I've had a minor issue with my left shoulder during weight training for a while now, so I've had the team tape me up during our practical component and off to test it out today, and I'll be adding this skill to me wheelhouse when I return on July 14. #newskills #rocktapelive #rocktapeaustralia #gostrongerlonger

08.01.2022 My heart is broken.... As most of you already know, massage parlours were included in the second step of the COVID-19 control restrictions that are effective as of midnight tonight. As Anderson Family Chiropractic is classified as an Allied Health professional business and Remedial Massage Therapy is a complimentary health profession working under this business, there were many grey areas that left us very confused. Ultimately massage is not governed under the Australian Heal...th Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), therefore we are not classified as essential and will be closing all remedial massage appointments until the government gives us the green light on reopening the books. Anybody who has appointments scheduled from tomorrow (Thursday 26th of March) and over the next few weeks will be contacted by the amazing Chiropractic Assistants of AFC to either reschedule or be put on a waiting list, as we are unsure of when we will be back. I cannot thank you all enough for your kind words and support during these tough times. Remember to stay safe, wash your hands and support local where possible.

05.01.2022 We're still business as usual in the clinic! Your health is important, so we've taken some extra precautions to ensure everything is super clean and disinfected for you, so rest assured. I'd love to see you in the clinic for your treatment if you're healthy, but as always - please reschedule if you're showing flu-like symptoms or are otherwise unwell. As an extra precaution, please ensure you reschedule your appointment for 2 weeks if you've just come back from overseas!... While I'm not worried personally, I definitely don't want to be getting sick (and this goes for the general flu and common colds also). I'm a bit of a sook when I'm sick , and I'd love to keep the ability to treat my clients! Stay safe and antisocial everyone!

First technique session and programming session done with new powerlifting team member, @shantelwicksremedial! Minor technique changes, cues to focus on for the next week and goals have been set for both short term and long term. Once we completed the session, we decided to have a little fun and push for a heavier ‘3rm’ in the deadlift whilst utilising the new cues and positioning. To be honest, this was still to easy! Deadlift 140kgx3. 02.01.2022 Hey guys! I just wanted to touch base and let everyone know where I'm up to in regards to where I stand with the current government restrictions. As of now, massage in a health setting is allowed, however it is only allowed if the therapist also holds provider numbers, which I do not currently hold.... Unfortunately, this means that I am unable to return to work until Stage 3, on the 10th July. Given my home commitments. This will mean Tuesday. 14th July will be my return date. I am currently trying to get provider numbers issued earlier however I'm still working off July as my return date. I can't wait to see you all back in the clinic!
