14.01.2022 Yes the rumours are true! Shaping Lives Dance Studio is for sale. 4 years in the making, it is now ready for a new owner to snap it up. Shaping Lives Dance Studio (SLDS) does exactly that, it shapes lives. We focus on giving country kids city opportunities through dance. In just four years SLDS has grown from one small community dance class to a fully established professional studio with four locations and over 150 students. We have gone from one person to a team of eight!... In 2016 we introduced the Australian Teachers of Dancing Syllabus and in 2017 we adopted the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus to support our newly established Acro program. SLDS also offers the Imagine Program which allows dancers from age 2 to join. In 2017 we jumped at the opportunity to be one of the first studios world wide to incorporate the Dance Student Teacher Education Program (DanceSTEP) to begin training our new generation of teachers - now with 12 students in training and many looking at Dance as their main career path. Recently we have also had the following achievements: - Record show attendance. - Record Enrolment Numbers. - Newsworthy Examination results. - Students being recognised nationally for their achievements and contributions. and many others. Our studio is run completely online aside from out face to face classes so it can literally be run from anywhere. This is perfect if you already own another studio, want to work from home or love to travel. Our online management includes: - Enrolments - Telephone and Email - File storage - Accounting - Studio management - Task scheduling - Uniform shop - New Enquiries - Photography Store - Marketing and Advertising - Procedures & Systems - Plus much more. 05.01.2022 We have a very very exciting announcement for Chinchilla and SLDS. As you are aware Shaping Lives Dance Studio has been on the market. So our very big news is that Southern Star Dance Academy from Dalby will be taking over Shaping Lives Dance Studio in Chinchilla! Danielle Small, Principal of Southern Star Dance Academy, is a long standing member of Australian Teachers of Dancing and is also an ATOD Examiner. Our students will be truly blessed to have such an outstanding Prin...cipal with a very high calibre of experience. Danielle has supported our studio through ATOD for a couple of years now. We honestly could not have asked for a more perfect person to take over. Southern Star has been operating for over 10 years and is very well acquainted with eisteddfods, examinations and the wider dance industry. Being an already accredited ATOD studio, Southern Star will be able to pick up right where we have left off. This will mean that students will be able to complete their ATOD exams/assessments as normal and will continue on with the work they have already been learning. Because Danielle already has a working relationship with us, we anticipate this transition to be very smooth. The main changes are that the students will have a new face in the classroom and parents will have a new person on the end of the phone. The best part is that we will be there to support our students and introduce their new teacher on the first day back of Term 2. On a personal note, I have loved teaching each of you so very much. I am so proud to have been a part of your dance journey. This change will certainly not pass without some very emotional tears on my behalf but I am so glad that you will be in such wonderful hands. I am more than confident that Southern Star Dance Academy will be able to meet your expectations; it has wonderful reputation in the dance industry with an incredible dancing team and vibrant culture. I will miss seeing your beautiful faces each week. I will miss watching your grow and seeing the delight on your face when you finally nail that turn, kick, jump or step that you have been working on for the last four weeks. Whilst this is a time of very mixed emotions for me, I am certainly looking forward to being able to sit in the audience for the first time in many years and enjoy your concert performance at the end of the year. I will miss the backstage hype and antics and I will miss finding sequins in the oddest places but I know you will enjoy yourself all the same.
