19.01.2022 We are now closed for the long weekend, enjoy the sunshine . See you all again on Tuesday

17.01.2022 Winter is a great time to try to get your ideal lesson time. If your children are going to school next year maybe try to change them now, if there is a class available, and get them into a routine before school starts. https://www.shapland.com.au//getting-your-ideal-lesson-time

11.01.2022 Why do we spend time walking in the water? Walking gives your children balance in the water. It does not matter what age they are walking is an important part o...f learning to trust the water. Please remember that walking on land is very different to walking in the water, on land you have gravity holding you down onto the ground, the water makes you buoyant and for non swimmers this can be very scary at first. Please read Chris's post on floating and balance for more information. https://www.shapland.com.au/b/20190906/floating-and-balance See more

10.01.2022 To Shapland Swim School Sinnamon Park Families: A person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 was a patron of Peak Thai restaurant on Sunday evening at Orion Shopping Centre. The good news is it was a Sunday night whilst most of the centre is closed and quiet and moreover the social distancing / table set up at Peak Thai is very good.... So whilst the risk may be low to all, the impact is high if there are any community transmissions. So no panic stations but extra vigilance and awareness by all will go a long way to keeping all safe and sound. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORION HEALTH UPDATE We have been made aware by QLD Health that they are contact tracing a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Peak Thai at Orion. We have been advised that the person was a patron who visited Peak Thai on Sunday 26th July 2020, in the evening. Peak Thai is currently closed and conducting strict cleaning and disinfecting protocol as instructed by QLD Health. As we have all demonstrated in the last months, Orion Springfield Central takes the safety of its customers and staff seriously. If you are concerned or you would like to receive further information on novel coronaviris call the Australian Department of Health Coronaviris Health Information Helpline on 1800 020 080. The line operates 24 hours, seven days a week -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOR US AT SHAPLAND SWIM SCHOOL SINNAMON PARK I would like to remind you of the importance of good health hygiene practices to help keep our community safe and well. These include Hand washing Social Distancing Covering noses and mouths when sneezing or coughing, and most importantly, Please stay home if you or your child have any symptoms, even if they are very mild. Our teachers are instructed not to let students join the lesson if they feel the student is unwell. Remember, we have a non-expiry make up system, so no parent should feel pressure to bring a sick child to their swim lesson. Sick parents or siblings will no be permitted on the premises, so please text us on 0432 770 571 to let us know of the absence. Shapland Swim School will continue to monitor any changes as they occur and update our community promptly.
