24.01.2022 DIY CLEANING Based on historic aromatic blends thus classic recipe is beneficial during winter months and used to freshen the air and disinfect household surfaces. THE RECIPE 40 drops clove bud essential oil 35 drops lemon essential oil... 20 drops cinnamon bark essential oil 15 drops eucalyptus radiata essential oil 10 drops rosemary essential oil Combine the essential oils in a small bottle with dripulator (for measuring) TO USE: All purpose cleaning spray- 1-2% of the blend to your volume of water. I.e 100ml of water would be 1 - 2ml of essential oil blend. Shake before use. Spray counter tops desks and benches. Diffuse 6 -10 drops in a diffuser to freshen air and purify the environment. Vibrant spicy aroma This is an especially potent blend which may cause irritation if applied to the skin or mucous membranes even diluted. Do not use this recipe on children or infants and we do not recommend taking oils internally. ENJOY

20.01.2022 Toners the forgotten ingredient in skincare. ......once thought of as only rebalancing the ph of our skin after cleansing (in those days often aggressive ingred...ients used i.e. the laurel sulphates/soaps) but they do so much.....when they are infused with moisture preserving and healing herbals they function to not only balance the skin but assist to lock in moisture to the epidermis when applied prior to your moisturiser........so get misting! especially in these humid/hot days! 10.01.2022 SHELF LIFE All about keeping it fresh. You want to be tucking into your fish straight away and slicing your fruit soon after its been picked from the tree right, but how fresh is that moisturiser you massaged into your face this morning. The beauty industry standard for shelf life is approximately 30months. It goes without question that highly perishable ingredients like essential fatty acids and vitamins start losing their beneficial properties in just a matter of months, d...ue to oxidation. So many companies use these ingredients in tiny tiny percentages, or are using synthetic versions which tend to have a longer life. A case in point is Coconut Oil. Cosmetic companies often substitute this with fractionated Coconut Oil, not bad for you, just a lot cheaper and it will last forever........does it have the same benefit.....I'd say not. And then there is also the expectation of the consumer to consider, after all the market is simply supplying the demand. So maybe it is time for us to consider what we use.......maybe not expect it to last up to 3 years, or be 'quick' and effortless to use. Maybe we need to think about it the same as we think about food. So I guess this is what brought me to making my own. Why would I go to all the trouble to get freshly extracted, certified organic herbal extracts from a wonderful alchemist in tasmania, source out the best organic cold pressed oils, virgin and unrefined if my products were not intended to be used within a short time frame, so that all those wonderful healing properties were retaining their properties. Seemed to me silly to do anything else. Glad to say that there is more awareness now. Fresh skincare makes sense ........it's more nourishing and has less synthetic additives (all 'water and oil' products need a preservative for your safety unless you're going to use it up in 2 weeks or less!). As I move forward I will be looking towards my own challenges in this formulating 'creams' etc and if you check out my website you'll see that I am introducing some really high quality therapeutic oil and balm blends. Very exciting.
