15.01.2022 It’s our busiest and most stressful time of the year to work as a hairdresser. Just found these wonderful Christmas salon memories

07.01.2022 Happy 100th birthday to our lovely Marie. Although the day was not as was planned, we made sure she felt and looked the beautiful queen that she is, on this special day

07.01.2022 Throughout my life, nurses have comforted, cared for, and have been a part of saving my life in my moments of need. And I also get to spend my work days with these beautiful nurses and carers. I see the bravery, the sadness, the worry, the fears that they have to deal with often, but I also get to see the encouragement, love and support they bring to their patients every single day. Every day is a day to say thank you, but today we want to shout it from the roof tops.... THANK YOU

06.01.2022 While our clients have been looking forward to life taking on a bit of normality again in their lives. Today I turned of our lights in this salon and not sure when we get to reopen again. We were told that we will not be going back to 3 of our salons because of what is happening with the selfish decisions made by a couple of people who chose to mislead the public and jeopardise the the health of everyone else. While they chose to continue to enjoy life our residents will now freedoms taken away yet again

02.01.2022 The lovely Maries 100th birthday with her brother and sister who are also her neighbours here at Wesley Mission. We enjoy their company, all the family are visitors to our salon. . Even in lockdown its wonderful when we can celebrate a wonderful life

02.01.2022 Well if we were hairdressers in some countries, which is a frightening thought. Although I have had to dress like this over the years when working with clients who have very contagious disease. Actually we were just talking about this today, I always cut the gloves. it can be very time consuming having to keep replacing cut gloves. Such is life as a hairdresser

01.01.2022 Thank you so much to all those who work in aged care, they are some of the most dedicated and caring human beings I have met. I get to work with these special people everyday, well except at the moment because of covid, but I can honestly say that while everyone is away from their loved ones, beautiful people are still there caring for them.

01.01.2022 So last week was my first week back at Mercy Services after lockdown and I was met with so many beautiful residents waiting patiently for me to come back. I was so busy I missed attending a birthday party in the cafe. But I was not forgotten cake and balloons were brought in on closing time. Its just so lovely to be a part of a caring community.
