25.01.2022 GASTRO OUTBREAK! If you or someone in your family is not feeling well, please DO NOT come to your swimming lesson and let me know.

23.01.2022 TERM 4 SWIMMING LESSONS I am now taking bookings for Term 4. Term 4 starts Monday 12 October and is a 10 week term. Classes for babies, toddlers, learn to swim and squads. Groups and private lessons.... Those currently swimming with me this term have already had priority to book in for term 4. This means that a lot of spots have already been filled. Monday to Fridays from 4.15pm at the PCYC. Saturdays at Mudgee pool - groups in the morning and privates in the afternoon. If wanting to book in, find out what spots are available, or for more information - either text me on 0410548447 or send me a message. I will need to know childs age and swimming ability.

23.01.2022 COMING UP - NEXT WEEK IS SWIMSAFER WEEK. Week 9 which starts Monday 14th September. All classes will be swimming in clothes.... Please bring old clothes for your child to swim in. They will need long pants and a long sleeved shirt. If you have an old set of shoes, please bring these for them to wear as well. Swimming in clothing is an important skill for children to experience and practice, as it replicates an unexpected fall into water. Every child will have the opportunity to practice falling into the water, recovering and moving to a point of safety whilst wearing clothes in the water.

20.01.2022 Sharmanes Swimming is proud to be partnering with Mudgee Little Learners in Term 4 to be teaching water confidence and safety to some of their children. I am grateful to be given this opportunity and to be able to teach an additional 28 children next term.

18.01.2022 If your child or someone in your house is sick or not feeling well - please dont come to your lesson. This has nothing to do with Covid - but is a general consideration for others. The less germs we spread the better. Thanks.

17.01.2022 Swimming goggles and caps for sale. Goggles: I have purchased a bulk lot of goggles so that i can pass them on cheap to everyone. Available in pink, blue and yellow. ... Helps to get little ones to put their face in the water. Personally, I find that children swim better when they wear goggles. $5 each Swimming caps: Blue with my logo on them. Nice thick silicon caps. Great for keeping hair out of eyes. Helps to keep hair dry. Reduces the amount of water that drips on to the face from the hair. More hygienic and helps to keep the pool clean. $10 each I will bring some to each lesson. If wanting to purchase, please let me know so i can make sure i have the correct colour etc

17.01.2022 Personalised Christmas Santa Sacks. Approx 50cm x 70cm. 100% cotton. $35 each... These usually sell for $45-$50 each. I will be putting in an order for these next week, so need to get an idea of interest for what designs to order. 15.01.2022 SUNDAY IS THE CHRISTMAS PARTY We will still go ahead even if the weather is crappy - the forecast is forever changing but fingers crossed it is not raining. Personally, 26/27 degrees is going to be much nicer for me than 40 degrees. To those that are coming - you will receive a reminder text message tomorrow afternoon when I am out of the pool.... Make sure that you (and anyone in your family that has RSVP's as coming) come and see me as soon as you arrive so that I can mark your name off the list and give you a wrist band.

15.01.2022 BOOK NOW FOR JANUARY INTENSIVE CLASSES 2 weeks of intensives will be run at the PCYC. Week 1 is Mon 11th - Fri 15th. Week 2 is Mon 18th - Fri 22nd.... Priority will be given to those that book in for both weeks. Group and private lessons available. Intensives are great to keep your child progressing through the holiday period and help to give your child the boost to progress to the next stage. It's like jamming a whole terms worth of swimming into 2 weeks. Group cost is $130 for the 2 weeks (10 lessons) 30 minutes private cost is $530 for the 2 weeks (10 lessons) My fees do not include PCYC membership or pool entry. Limited spots available. 14.01.2022 FYI The PCYC have just sent this through to me. The PCYC will NOT be doing a term discount for pool entry fees this term. PCYC are requesting that everyone pays pool entry each week. PCYC membership remains the same.... Remember that I am independent of the PCYC and have no control over this.

14.01.2022 Remember you can use your Active Kids Voucher for swimming. You can claim 2 Active Kids Vouchers from Service NSW each year for school aged children. These have to be used by 31 December. The $100 voucher can be used as part payment for your term fee. Just send me through the name on the voucher, the voucher number and childs date of birth.

12.01.2022 Term 3 lessons start back next week at the PCYC - Monday 20th July. Everyone that has booked in will get a text this week with a reminder of their class day and time. 12.01.2022 Half the year has gone already. This means that you can now download the second Active Kids Voucher. This must be used by the end of the year. Just remember I need the name as it appears on the voucher, voucher number and date of birth.

12.01.2022 TERM 4 CHANGES There are going to be some changes to how my summer classes usually run. There will be NO FRIDAY SQUAD CLASSES. SQUAD CLASSES WILL NOW BE SATURDAY MORNINGS.... I know this is going to have an impact on some people but I have also had positive feedback as those that attend little athletics can now swim as well. As I currently run year round classes on Mondays to Thursdays at the PCYC and Fridays during winter - this change means that ALL weekdays class (Monday to Friday) will stay year round indoors at the PCYC. This has been something that has been asked of me for years as the benefits of being indoors is obviously less sun, dont have to worry about the weather and the pool is nice and warm. A lot of people have commented that even when it is 40 degrees during summer, the outside pool water is still too cold, especially for the little ones. Saturday outdoor classes and privates will still run as per normal during summer - but squads will be first up. So if you love the outdoor pool - the option to swim there is still available - but only Saturdays. **NOTE** I need some feedback as to what time to run the squad classes. The feedback already received from those swimming this term is that 7am would be suitable as this will also allow those playing cricket to continue to do that as well. 11.01.2022 6 huge fruit platters ready for the Christmas party tomorrow. So thankful my mum came to Mudgee for the weekend. She has just spent the last 2 hours cutting up fruit and helping me.

11.01.2022 Week 4 Honestly I didnt think we would get this far into the term without being shut down again. Very HAPPY that we have. Only a couple more weeks and it will be time to start thinking about booking in for next term.

11.01.2022 TERM 1 2021 Everyone swimming with me this term would have received a text today with information about re-booking in for next term. Please make sure you reply to my text and make payment to secure your spot. You have been given 10 days to sort your spot out before I open my books to new clients/ For new clients - I will be taking new bookings to fill any available spots from SUNDAY 29 NOVEMBER. I won't be taking any names on a waiting list as I am way too busy sorting out the swimmers I already have - so you will need to contact me on SUNDAY 29 NOVEMBER to see what I have available.

10.01.2022 The swimmers from Mudgee Little Learners are continuing to learn swimming and safety skills each week and are getting much more confident in the water. Every swimmer now puts their head in the water and goes under each week - this is a big improvement!

10.01.2022 While we havent been lucky enough to be swimming, I have spent my time crafting. Here are some gift ideas for birthdays etc or get dad something personal for Fathers Day. Stubby holders available in navy or pink.... Glasses available in standard wineglass, stemless wineglass or hi-ball glass. Beer glasses are large 630ml. Coffee mugs available in black or white. Pictures are some examples of what i have done. I can do any text that you want. If there is a design you like, I can also add a name to the back of the glass to personalise for you. Stubby holders $15 each. Glasses $20 each. Beer glasses $25 each. Coffee mugs $15 each. Dont worry, i havent forgotten the kids - Ive got personalised zooper dooper ice block holders and tiny personalised tooth fairy sets for $10 each. 09.01.2022 Please remember that due to Covid restrictions and social distancing requirements - no grandparents or additional spectators are allowed to come along to swimming lessons. It is requested that only 1 adult per family attends the lessons (where possible) and that everyone practices correct social distancing.

09.01.2022 Friday lunchtimes teaching Chloe has been a delight. She is the most cheerful, energetic and funny little miss. I don't think there has been a lesson yet where she hasn't made me laugh.

06.01.2022 TERM 1 FEES I know these amounts are crazy but I slightly increased my fees for 2021, Term 1 is only a 9 week term and I didn't want to round everyone up. Groups have increased from $12 to $13/lesson 15min privates have increased from $30 to $32/lesson... 30min privates (up to 2 kids) have increased from $50 to $53/ lesson This means that the amounts owing for Term 1 are: Groups $117 15 minute privates $288 30 minute privates $477

02.01.2022 A PCYC social distancing update. The pool area was measured this afternoon and a total of 15 people are allowed in the pool area at any one time as long as they are social distancing. This is just the people on the outside of the pool, it does NOT include the people in the pool. Just be sensible people!

01.01.2022 ARM UPDATE To those that came to the Christmas party yday, you would have noticed that i was cradling my left arm. I come a gutsa whilst setting up. Off to ER after the party and many hours later, I've broken my elbow. More scans today as i have a floating piece in there, to determine whether i need surgery or not. Thanks to everyone who showed their concern.... UPDATE - no surgery needed thankfully. A half cast for 2 weeks while the swelling from it being dislocated goes down, then hopefully a more lightweight fibreglass cast.

01.01.2022 Week 3! I am so glad we are slowly making it through this term. I cant believe it is August already. Thanks to all of the wonderful families for taking care when attending classes.... Remember to sanitise on the way in, only attend if you and your child are well and have not travelled to Sydney or Victoria. Stay safe and healthy & lets make sure we dont have to shut down again!
