23.01.2022 What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other? ~George Eliot The Relationship Realm~ Exploring the realm of relationships is mi...nd-blowing when you think about how many diverse connections we have in our life. And whether you are close with someone, never speak with them, or cant stand them, you are holding onto mental, emotional, time-consuming, energy regarding the relationship. But the key to this realm is the relationship you have with you. How do you treat yourself? Hows your sense of worthiness? Are you arrogant, condescending, and mean to yourself? Or, loving, forgiving, nurturing, and compassionate? As you expand the circle beyond yourself, ask, Whos in my front row? essentially, who are your die-hard supporters, your cheerleaders, and your champions? Those are the relationships you should be paying attention to. When you stumble or fall down, who is rooting for you to get back up? Who is not rooting for you? Are there people in your front row who dont belong there? (Those not rooting for you?) Are they just taking up space in your headin your lifeblocking new champions from taking their seats in the front row? Keep widening the circle until youve included everyone you can think of in the exercise. Remember, there are four things you can do with a relationship. You can: ~Birth it start newfreshunfetteredunconditionedas we were born whole, perfect, pure, and unconditioned. There are infinite possibilities dont box yourself in. ~Repair it ask first, do I want to keep this damaged or wounded relationship alive? If the answer is yesthen let go of the past, and commit to soothing the wounds, let go of grievances, forgive, forgive, forgive forgive yourself, forgive them, make peace. If youve tried and it cant be repaired, then shift it. ~Shift it If the dynamic has moved in another direction maybe you are taking a platonic relationship or a work relationship to another level. If a boundary was crossed or the understanding has changed, then new boundaries, new understandings, new rules of engagement must be established, articulated, and agreed upon and committed to by both parties. ~End it Since nothing on this earth ever really ends, we must make peace in our own heart, forgive ourselves, forgive them, and let go. The key to this is to release. When we forgive, we free ourselves from the ties that bind us to the one who hurt us. ~Davidji https://davidji.com/the-four-paths-of-relationships/ art: Tomasz Alen Kopera

22.01.2022 What would you do if you had absolutely no competition? What would you do if you stopped comparing yourself to others? The comparison trap is one that many of us get caught up in. This trap can make you feel stagnant; unable to move forward. It keeps you playing small and disconnects you from yourself and others. ... When comparing yourself to others, you will never win. So lets try something different. - Notice when youre comparing yourself to another. - Observe and acknowledge your thoughts without attaching judgement or feelings to them. - Now pause, breathe and shift your focus back to YOU. Reflect on how much you have grown in the past year, what you have achieved and the progress you have made towards your goals. Reflect on what you are grateful for in your life. You have overcome many obstacles, experienced both challenges and triumphs and have made progress toward your goals. Show yourself kindness and appreciation. We are all on a journey, to find something, to become something, to learn and to create. There is no competition or destination. Where you are on your path is right where youre supposed to be. If you always want what other people have, youll never have enough. Break this cycle. Rather than judging and comparing, come back to a place of love and allow yourself to be inspired and motivated by that person or situation. Look within and youll find everything you need. Find what lights YOU up and follow your bliss

21.01.2022 What if we went into everything in our life with an intention to have fun? What if we stopped taking everything so seriously and allowed our inner-child to show up more? Adult-ing can be hard. We have responsibilities and different roles to play. We place high expectations on ourselves and live in a culture where success = doing and achieving. ... Yep - we all know that life can get hectic at times. Sometimes our to-do lists feel never-ending, decisions seem too difficult to make and we are filled with worry about how our loved ones are doing... During a workshop last week, the very influential facilitator quoted that the purpose of enlightenment is to lighten up. The same day, a new friend laughed at me because I said I shouldnt have a coffee. He responded with if it brings you enjoyment in that moment, why would you deny yourself that. Then I had a big 'ahuh' moment. If we ALWAYS have choice, why dont we just choose to have more fun? So I tried it out. Every morning, I set an intention to lighten up. I played reggae music when I washed the dishes, I smiled guilt-free while drinking my coffee and eating a cookie bigger than my head and I have been studying with the attitude that this is something I want and am blessed to have the opportunity to do. I dance more, play more, smile more and laugh more. With a simple shift in my thinking, I have allowed joy and excitement to be my guide, naturally pushing out fear and worry with very little effort. This is a lesson I plan to take with me everywhere I go

20.01.2022 Be where you are otherwise you'll miss your life ~ Buddha

19.01.2022 "When your world moves too fast and you lose yourself in the chaos, introduce yourself to each color of the sunset. Reacquaint yourself with the earth beneath your feet. Thank the air that surrounds you with every breath you take. Find yourself in the deep appreciation of life" - Christy Ann Matine... This is my beautiful little home for the next month. I fall asleep to the sound of owls hooting and awake to the birds chirping. I have no phone reception and my closest neighbors are deer and frogs. Nature is my greatest teacher and my constant source of inspiration. It teaches me presence, mindfulness and gratitude. Most of all, it reminds me to slow down!Life isn't supposed to be so serious; and it sure isn't supposed to be so busy. You don't have to live in a tent in the middle of the forest to experience this, although it definitely helps Just open your senses to the nature surrounding you in every moment

18.01.2022 "I'm not creative". This is the lie I told myself and others for as long as I can remember... I thought that the creative people were those on the radio, in art studios or cooped up in their rooms writing books. The truth is we are all born creative beings We are all born with an innate ability to express ourselves through art, music, movement and any other form of creativity and communication.... I have been blessed to travel to communities where creativity is openly expressed, embraced and celebrated. It's diverse, colorful and beautiful! It triggers the girl in me who doesn't think she's creative. So when I feel this resistance and reaction, I observe it and challenge it. I do the opposite to what she would do in the situation... I dance. I join in singing or playing instruments. I write & attend workshops on poetry. I draw. I cook without recipes. We are all creative! It just looks different to each person

18.01.2022 Just because you're on the road, traveling or on holiday doesn't mean that your health rituals need to be neglected. You just need to find ways to alter them to suit your situation. The first thing we do when we wake up is boil some water for our hot water and lemon drink then we cook up a big bowl of oats with nuts and fruit. For the times that we need to be on the road in a hurry or we run our of gas, we fill up our flasks with hot water at the fuel station. We always hav...e healthy snacks on us for the times where the only stop over on a 8 hour drive is a corner store selling not much more than beef jerky and soggy sandwiches and always have a few liters of water stocked up. It also helps to have essential oils, probiotics and some superfoods with us too. Our commitment to stay healthy and well has resulted in no one getting booted out of the truck and sent to quarantine and no one being left behind on adventures See more

18.01.2022 I feel like I'm Mother Earth because I love every little plant, herb, fruit and vegetable on this farm like their my baby When you spend endless hours caring for them, it's hard not to grow a little attached Since working on a farm my respect for farmers who grow organic produce (& all farmers) has expanded hugely! The work that goes into preparing, maintaining & harvesting them is crazy, yet so rewarding. Buying organic is worth the little bit of extra coin because they're full of so much more TLC

18.01.2022 Ah yes!! Love this article <3 "They cant become enlightened, because they are already light; they are already what they seek. They are the light that illuminates every thought, sensation, feeling. They are already complete, even when they feel incomplete; perfect, even when they feel completely imperfect. Its not something to understand with the mind, or take on authority, its something to see for yourself. Its about accepting yourself exactly as you are, and even accepting your non-acceptance, even accepting your inability to accept yourself right now. Saying YES to the present scene in the movie of your life, even if its not the scene you planned!"

17.01.2022 "Dont waste your human talents by stressing about nominal things, or that which you cannot change. If you take the time simply to be and appreciate the fruits of life, your stresses will begin to dissolve, and you will be happier". Spend more time & energy simply 'being' - A great read <3

17.01.2022 I just came across this blog post that I wrote around this time last year. Little did I know that one year later, I'd be sitting in the same spot as where I wrote it, experiencing very similar feels Change encourage us to take a break from our routine, experience new things and discover more about who we are and who we want to become Just like the seasons, I too am always changing

16.01.2022 Life is a repeated cycle of getting lost and then finding yourself again. There are many smaller cycles within that cycle where you get lost to a smaller degre...e and then remember yourself again. Sometimes you do it to yourself on purpose, consciously or unconsciously. Every time you get lost it is so that you can learn something or experience something from a different perspective. ~ Jay Woodman

16.01.2022 "Do you have the patience to wait until the mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself?" ~ Byron Katie We think that we are our body, our thoughts, our identity. We think that we are this physical world that we see with our eyes. This is not who we are, we are much more than that. ... What is real can't be seen or heard or thought or grasped. We're just seeing our own eyes, hearing our own ears, reacting to the world of our own imagination. It's all created by our mind. What is real can only be felt. It's that energy that moves through us and gives us life. The energy that connects us to every thing. The energy that, when our mind slows down, speaks to us. It requires us to hand over control and let go of our attachments and expectations. It requires us to create space to receive instructions from within us. Listen... What is it that our heart is saying? What path is calling us? It might not be what we had planned and we might be faced with feelings of resistance and discomfort but when we finally make the decision that our inner being wants us to make, we will feel a sense of calmness and peace I have always found it difficult to make decisions. My mind likes to think everything through and ensure that I weigh up all my options. Now, rather than getting frustrated at how long this process can be, I am learning to observe these thoughts without judgement. I then create space to tune into my heart and allow my intuition to guide the way... It doesn't have to be so hard. Just trust

14.01.2022 Today as I laid in the forrest I asked for guidance. I asked for clarity around the next phase of my life. Where is this path leading me and what is my purpose here? I have been living so freely in the moment every day so my mind was questioning if in doing so, am I avoiding or disconnecting myself from having a vision for the future or something that I am working towards. I was given a clear answer, or should I say a great reminder. ... Let go of the need for answers and plans, assurances and explanation, and the need to understand everything. Let go of 'needing to know'. Trust in the beating of your own heart, and in the people, places and experiences that truly move you, whether it makes sense or appears to be logical or not. Lead with your heart, dance in life without fear and surrender into truth. Trust that everything will unveil itself to you in perfect harmony and timing See more

14.01.2022 Be the change you want to see in the world Mahatma Gandhi ‘’At the ripe age of 18, I decided to get this Ghandi quote tattooed on the side of my ribs. ... They say that nothing is permanent but I think this comes pretty close! I have always loved this quote. It inspires me to live true to my values and reminds me to always strive to create positive change in the world. It wasn’t until I commenced my Yoga Teacher Training [YTT] with Awakened Spirit Yoga that I really understood what it meant to embody this wisdom. I had embarked on this journey expecting to deepen my practice so that I can support others to discover the benefits of Yoga. Yet what I learnt and experienced over the four week program progressed above and beyond my initial expectations... Sometimes I find it difficult to put into words some of the experiences I have had throughout my travels. Many of them can only be felt or witnessed Although there were many moments like this during my Yoga Teacher Training, I felt called to put pen to paper and share some insight into my experience.. if you’re curious, click the link below for the full blog. 14.01.2022 "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished" ~ Lao Tzu I set an intention before arriving in Guatemala to allow myself space to be. Less doing and more being. I noticed that even when I intended to do nothing, I was still doing something, meditation being the only exception. I am a seeker, an adventurer, a student of life; always eager to learn & grow. ... It's a big part of why I love traveling. So, today as I was laying on my bed in my new house on the lake with no plans, no schedule, no commitments and no responsibilities the realisation hit me... I don't really know how to do nothing. I've only been here 4 days and I'm already researching and brainstorming a list of things to do while I'm here - workshops, courses, ceremonies, volunteer work, Spanish school... and it continues. I put down my pen and remember what my new friend at the cafe reminded me of today. There is nowhere to go but here. The only place I should be, is here. Why? Because I am here. When I'm seeking something that doesn't exist or hasn't happened, I can not be truly to present to the experience I'm in. With this awareness, I slow down. I allow myself to make decisions in the moment based on feeling not thought

13.01.2022 Aligning your beliefs and your energy with your desires For the past six months, I have been going with the flow of life. Living, learning, exploring and playing. I have been dipping my toes in many different things, not feeling entirely sure what it is I truly want to plunge head-first, full body into. So I begun asking the Universe/Spirit/God/Higher Being - what ever resonates with you, for clarity. What is my purpose?. What do I desire and feel passionate enough ab...out to dedicate myself too?. Well, ask and you shall receive (if you allow yourself the space to hear the answer that is). I created that space for myself and in the past week, my desires and purpose have become increasingly clear. So obvious in-fact, that my old self-limiting beliefs and fears decided to rear their cheeky little heads. I begun doubting whether I am enough or whether this is truly the right path for me. What surprised me was how quickly these stories came and how quickly they passed. Rather than giving them energy and control, I used the tools I have learnt to release them. These tools worked so effectively for me that I felt called to share them with you. Firstly, I reminded myself that these feelings and thoughts that arose arent me and they also arent my enemy. My mind and body are doing me a favour by bringing these things up because theyre providing me with the opportunity to clear out any negativity that may prevent me from fully stepping into and reviving my deepest desire/s. Theyre encouraging me to clear out anything that isnt in alignment with the person I want to be in order to reach this desire. Fear and uncertainty are a natural part of expansion that often arise when youre embarking on change and stepping into your power. Your mind and body know that you cant move forward if theyre lingering under the covers of your subconscious. So, allow them to arise. Hear them out. Feel into them. But dont give them control. Instead, grab out your journal and try answering a few reflective questions. - What is it that I desire? - How would this desire make me feel? - What limiting beliefs and stories are coming up around this desire? - When I believe these thoughts, how does it make me feel? Once youve reflected on these questions and really felt into them, make a choice. Do you want to choose your desire over your doubt? Do you choose love over fear? Feed the choice that is going to empower, inspire, motivate and fulfil you and then shift your thoughts and energy to align with that. - Why do I believe I can do this? - What steps can I take to fulfil this desire? Thank your mind and body for bringing the potential blockages to surface and let them go. Then, go out there and kick-ass because you are so worthy of living the life of your dreams and you definitely are enough, just as I am

13.01.2022 Finding your Flow

12.01.2022 Blog: Could I really become a Yoga Teacher? Five years ago, feeling lost and confused, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and self-love. It was around this time I welcomed Yoga into my life. Fast forward 3 years later, something guided my weary backpacking body to a Yoga Centre in Canada where I lived for six months as a karma yogi, working on the farm and holding space for the many people coming through to seek inner-peace and immerse themselves in the wisdom of y...oga. People assumed that since I was living in a yoga community I must be a yoga teacher. I'd just laugh and clarify that no, I definitely was 'not advanced enough'. Despite my egos voice of self-doubt, the seed was planted... Fast forward 1 year later, something guided me back to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala where next week I will commence my Yoga Teacher Training (YTT). Who would have thought! I followed my intuition to Guatemala with no plans. Yet, everything aligned to connect me with Awakened Spirit Yoga - A community of inspired change-makers with a focus on yoga, permaculture and community building Although I'll be in intense study mode for the next month, I'll be sharing some photos and blogs with you via ASY... beginning with this one (see the link below)

10.01.2022 Barefoot walking through the forrest, I feel grounded and connected to the Earth

10.01.2022 Waking up at 5am every morning for Yoga Teacher Training has been surprisingly easy. It is dark, cool and silent as I prepare to sit for meditation. Moments before opening my eyes, the sun rises, heating up my skin instantly. As I begin to move in our morning yoga practice, I connect to my breath and feel into my body. Completely present in the moment, my mind is calm.... I complete my practice feeling energised, grateful and inspired. Ready to soak in all the wisdom of the day ahead. Some mornings I wake up a little crunchy, then I look up at this and the crunchiness seems so insignificant

09.01.2022 This free-spirit explorer is on route back to Perth and I'm so excited that the 40+ hrs of travel is survivable It's been a magical year full of adventure, discovery and growth. From living in a tent & working on a farm in Canada, to road-tripping & hiking through the US, to exploring my inner-yogi in Guatemala - it's been one massive soul journey! Now my spirit is calling to ground down and find adventure in staying in one place for a while. I think it's the first tim...e I'm coming 'home' without having a leaving date already planned. It feels good I'm also feeling the feels that come with opening my heart to the world... and with being sleep deprived & full of Mexican tacos! The feels have me reflecting on the idea that nothing in this life is permanent... Travel is a great reminder of this and a big lesson in non-attachment. (Heads up - long life-story post coming )! Over the past 5 years, my intuition has taken me on adventures all over the world, some so incredible I question "is this real life?". Some moments I'm so full of love and gratitude that I wonder "how could life get any better"...? It feels like that last sip of coffee in the morning, or the dessert that tastes so good you just want to savior it, you know - all those things in your life that feel so blissful that you don't want them to end - a Sunday morning cuddle, a live acoustic gig or a sunny beach holiday.. whatever floats your boat. The goodbyes you don't want to say, the places you don't want to leave and the experiences you just want to keep on re-living. But the truth is, nothing lasts forever. This is reassuring when it comes to the darker, challenging times but a little harder to accept when it comes to the times of our life that are going REALLY well. Moments only last moments. However, what you experience, learn and discover in that moment will stay with you forever, in some way. Pictures may help you remember that moment, but you can't go back in time & re-live it (unless someone has a time-machine & if so PLS share)! And you know what, that's ok with me. One day I'm laying on a beach in Mexico watching a sunset with new friends drinking red wine and the next day I'm on a plane crossing over the world to see old (not in age :P) friends and probably drink a different red wine. Life is always changing and this excites me. I love that tomorrow is unknown. Now I just ask, "What's next Life"?! I thank my blessings for the moments that light up my soul and fill my heart and I let go of the desire for things to stay a certain way or for a feeling to last forever and I keep moving forward... I create a life where I'm open to new experiences and feelings, not attached to the what has been. I realize that it's ALL an opportunity to learn and grow, there's no option to stay the same, and if we try, life will throw some curve balls our way. So long story short - I'm SO thankful for everything that's been and I'm SO thankful for everything to come See more

09.01.2022 I don't just eat to live, I LOVE to eat Our gut is our second brain. It affects every aspect of our body - physical, mental, emotional & spiritual. ... I make a conscious choice every day to fuel my body with food as beautiful and nourishing as this smoothie bowl (ok, well it probably doesn't look this beautiful when I prepare it ). When I do eat something not so nutritious or beautiful, I choose to enjoy it guilt free because life's all about balance.. & pleasure is more fun than guilt. Food is my medicine

08.01.2022 Not every feeling needs a word. Not every experience calls for a story. Not every thing we see requires a label. Not every thought, lesson and realisation in life needs to be shared verbally.... From someone who has always found it challenging to express herself through words and story (or is that just a story I tell myself?), its reassuring to remember that growth is best reflected through being. When my logical mind feels inspired to share, I will write. When my spirit cant find the words, I hope its felt through my presence.

08.01.2022 Healing the world, one mushroom & friendly smile at a time Loved learning all about the magic of mushrooms (no pun intended) at the Fungi Community with my bright ray of sunshine Amigo Let food be thy medicine

06.01.2022 You are not your thoughts; you are the observer of your thoughts Last night as I relaxed on the beach during sunset with a small group of friends, I bec...ame consciously aware of my thoughts. The night was perfect. As I observed my thoughts, I was reminded of an important lesson. Stop seeking more... Here's a little insight into my reflection if you're feeling curious as to what I mean. We sat watching the sunset over the calm still ocean. When no one was talking, my mind would become as silent and still as the ocean. It was in those moments that I was able to tune into my true nature. My true nature was grateful, full of love and connected. Yet, in-between those moments of peace, my mind was fighting for my attention. It was as if my mind was trying to compete with this peacefulness through thoughts of how the night could be even better. "I should have brought a speaker", "I wish I could play the guitar or sing (well)", "how good would a s'more be on the fire right now" and "oh I wonder how much fun the others are having at the festival" my ego would interrupt with. Society has conditioned us to want and seek more. Although this way of thinking can be an effective practice to help understand our desires, set goals that align with them and strive for growth, it can also quite often distract us from the present and leave us feeling unfulfilled. Even when we're having fun and doing something we love, our mind may try to tell us that 'it could be better'. By consciously observing these thoughts last night, I was able to acknowledge them then let them go with a smile then return to being present & grateful. In those moments in-between my thoughts, I felt completely content. Today as I hiked & now as I relax on the hammock, I continue to observe my thoughts and focus on bringing awareness back to where I am and what I'm doing. This moment is perfect. There's nothing else I need right now

06.01.2022 Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it" - Rumi We are on this Earth to give & receive love - to BE love. It comes in many shapes and forms.... I'm always asking myself 'how can I love more?'. 'How can I choose love in this moment'. Even if at times it can be more challenging to access, I know it's always within me. We attract love when we are love of a painting at Oregon Eclipse Festival - not sure of the artists name unfortunately!

05.01.2022 "When we surrender, we allow the universe to work its magic; we say yes to infinite possibilities; we trust that things will work out as they are meant to; and we give ourselves permission to let go of the outcome. This can be liberating, intimidating, blissful, scary, and a swirl of so many other emotions. But in the end, if we are true to our heart, life unfolds with magnificenceand we get to celebrate". ~ Davidji

03.01.2022 'You were made to move and grow, to live and flow' You inspire people through how you choose to live and be. Choose to live your truth. It doesn't require any effort or will, it is your nature, your being, your way. This was the theme of the guidance I received in my reading yesterday that I feel is true for each and every one of us

01.01.2022 I truly feel that the universe is always giving me signs to guide and navigate me through life Today is an example of this. Alecia and I were sitting under a tree, chatting about ideas for a new moon womens circle - the first of the year - when we look out into the ocean and see a sand bar shaped as a new moon Maybe it is just the way the ocean flows into the river, but for me it was an inspiring symbol from nature that I am living in flow ... Im ending 2017 feeling grateful, abundant and inspired. Im entering 2018 feeling in alignment, content and excited for the journey ahead
