12.01.2022 It's September slow down! I literally have introduced slow down September. I've been so busy for so long. The multi-tasking, working late, working weekends and balancing so many balls in the air. It's life on auto pilot, you know where you just get up and do the thing, and at the end of the day you don't even remember doing the thing!... It's time to focus on my mindset, my energy and get laser focused on my intentions. Where focus goes, energy flows. I've always worked on my mindset and self care but it's now top of my daily list. I'm working more in flow and the energy is flowing. I'm more intentional on where I focus my time and energy and I have placed a higher value on my time. 11.01.2022 NO! There I said it! It's more important to say NO to work/clients that aren't aligned to your passions than to say Yes.... I recently said NO to working with clients that are wanting to work with me in areas where I did not feel in flow. I thought I would feel bad, but you know what? It felt awesome. It felt awesome to know that I am living my true passion. In the past when I have said Yes to work that doesn't light me up, I was out of flow and I procrastinated on getting the work done. I was out of flow. Now I am doing what I love. I love coaching. It lights me up. I'm in flow. I'm energised. 08.01.2022 Last night I went to an event where the topic was "Things Successful Women Do Differently". Now, I'll be honest with you, I am not a fan of networking events. Infact, they make me really uncomfortable. But after attending The Belle Evolutions un-networky event last month I was pleasantly surprised to walk into a room full of genuine women where I had real conversations, not pounced on with an elevator pitch as soon as I made eye contact. ... A room full of amazing women entrepreneurs were captivated by last nights speakers GIORGINA VENZIN from Paw Paw and EMMA LEWIS from Canvast Co. My key takeaways from these inspiring women were:- Be you, be authentic Tell your story, people are drawn to stories It doesn't matter if you are the face of your brand or not people want to see the face of the brand Build relationships with your team and your customers Self care and mental health are a priority Share the wins but also share the shit It's great to set goals but the magic happens when you track them I'd love to know your thoughts on what "Things Successful Women Do Differently". 03.01.2022 Let's talk boundaries. Setting boundaries is hard. That's why it's important. Some people can't set boundaries because they don't yet care enough about themselves to preserve their sanity and space.... We all experience it, it's the client or friend that says, "hey, can we catch up for coffee" or "can I pick your brain" or "can you just have a quick look at this for me" As I see it you have 2 options. 1. Say yes and give them a link to book in "a" 30 minute free discovery call/chat, as in one. BUT, you have to draw the line there. Future chats or coffees need to paid for, in future send them a link to your paid services. 2. Say sure, I'll send you a link to book in for my hour of power session. Then send them the link for your paid session. This will help you to set boundaries and keep your calendar free for paying clients. 01.01.2022 Who's sliding into your DMs? We've all been there, been on the receiving end of sleezy DMs am I right? I know, I get them myself. Last week I got one that just said "you are beautiful" and whilst it was a nice comment it did feel a little creepy.... Then there is the "hey come and join my Facebook group" and the "hey do you need help with this, I can offer you that blah blah blah, sell, sell, sell" But, DM's are where it's at as long as you are driving meaningful and genuine conversations, not the salesy or creepy ones. I'll say that again, meaningful and genuine conversations. I've got more clients sliding into my DM's more than ever and I've been sliding into more DM's myself. Hell, it's how I book my hair in and I'm excited to have just reached out to a marketing agency to help with paid ads. Over on LinkedIn I commented on a post about a car they were reviewing saying I was looking at buying one, the sales guy slid into my DM's and 4 weeks later I had a new Audi in my garage - this shit works! The key is, getting them from your DM's into your sales funnel.
