24.01.2022 Who gets your energy? Who did you give it to today? Did you give it to someone else's drama? Or...... Did you give it to a worthy cause? Did you spend your energy on something that makes your life better in some way?... Good questions, hey? When you stand in the kitchen at the end of a long day, with little energy left to give and your loved ones maybe annoying you, it's a good time to ask who received your energy today? And was it worth it? Being more choosy about where you give your energy is a mighty fine way of ensuring you have the energy for the things that matter most to you. We all tend to have a default of getting caught up in daily drama - at work, at the school, within the family - and much of it we can probably step out of. Choose to not give it any energy. So, did you give your precious energy to undeserving people today?
23.01.2022 Today have found myself working on what my new normal is going to be for a little while. I have discovered that human touch and having people around me is one very big part of my life. I have a really big extended family out there that I'm not getting to see at the moment. I know there are a lot of us out there having many different feelings about our new world. One thing I'm really focusing on is what I'm grateful for. Even if it's small like the sun is shining or I have one roll of toilet paper left. Find 3 things each day that we are grateful for and write them down. Before we know out we'll all be able to reunite What are you most grateful today?

11.01.2022 Good afternoon!! On my walk this morning i had time to reflect on how i am feeling at the moment and just checking in with myself. I feel like i am riding a wave of emotions at the moment where one moment i am enjoying the solitude this situation is bringing and then i feel angry that i am being told what to do. Unable to see my own family or my extended family of all my gym families - oh how i miss my kids and parents. I suppose i am having all the same thoughts that ever...yone is having at the moment. Then i started thinking about my life over the past 50 years and I have been through a lot of challenges over the years and after each one i have come out the other side better and stronger within myself. So just for the moment i am thinking about what i want to keep from this time of solitude and take into the future when we are all back together. Enjoy your own company Love and support your family - you can get through anything together Find what you are grateful for each day Life certainly isn't about how much stuff you have. Time to get back to basics I would love to hear just one thing you are going to keep doing in your future life Have a wonderful afternoon.

06.01.2022 Today I am grateful for the chance to get out in the sunshine and start mapping some 5km loops from home. It's crazy how before all of this happened everyone was saying how busy there were and didn't have the time to fit everything in and how they just wished the world could stop for a day. Well that wish has certainly been granted in a big way. Stress is an automatic physical, mental, and emotional response to a challenging situation. Even though anything can cause stress, some stressors are most familiar to all of us. In addition, their impacts are felt in familiar locations and ways by the body. Physical - causing stress to the physical body (e.g., sitting too long at a computer while working) Biochemical - cau...sing stress inside the body (e.g., poor diet) Mental - causing stress in your ability to process information (e.g., excessive workload affecting cognition) Emotional - causing stress in your ability to express or manage emotions (e.g., negative self-talk) A great breathing exercise to do to bring your body out of a stressed state is Box Breathing you empty your lungs of air to the count of 4, then hold to the count of 4, then inhale to the count of 4 and then hold to the count of 4. You continue this for 2 to 3 minutes and notice how you feel afterwards. This is something you can do any time throughout the day. Breathing is something that many of us don’t even think about during the day, as it is an automatic process that we just expect to happen. Try this today and put in the comments how it made you feel. 01.01.2022 Boundaries can be defined as the limits we set with other people, which indicate what we find acceptable and unacceptable in their behavior towards us. Knowing our boundaries and setting them are two very different hurdles to overcome. Setting boundaries does not always come easily. My biggest boundary to set for myself is being able to say "No" when i need to. What is yours?
