03.01.2022 We are thrilled to have @denaamy in studio for a very special workshop for our Senior Students! Saturday 21st Nov from 5:30pm - 7pm. Dena has been working professionally in the entertainment industry from a very young age. Following work in Children’s television at only 16 years of age, she joined the adult ensemble of 'The Lion King' for their Melbourne, Sydney and Shanghai seasons, the youngest ensemble member ever cast by DISNEY productions. Other theatre credits includ...e 'Don Quixote' (Australian Ballet), Louise in 'Carousel' (The Production Company) and ‘Through Me' (Blackbird Productions). Dena made the bold choice to relocate to New York City at just 18, where she was one of the first Australians accepted to the renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre in New York and attended Broadway Dance Centre to further her studies in both acting, voice and dance. Dena then relocated back to Australia after being cast in the hit TV series 'Dance Academy' for ABC, which has been a huge success all over the world. Dena recently finished filming a main cast role in the U.S. series 'Camp' which premiered on NBC. Dena finished 4 films recently working on Josh Lawson's Long Story Short the action film Occupation the dance movie Honey 3 and the starring role in the Dance Academy-Comeback film available on Netflix. Dena also has a hugely successful career as a DJ, playing the biggest festivals in the world such as Coachella and Splendour in The Grass.
