19.01.2022 "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun" When I became a single mum after my divorce and losing pretty much everything financially with the wind up of our family business, it was assumed by many around me that I would have to take on a full-time job. After years of the flexibility of running my own business this idea did not appeal to me at all. I loved being my own boss and not having to ask for time off to spend with my kids or go away for a while. ... I decided I would work part-time and keep space open for a new opportunity to come my way. I knew if I filled the space with full-time work that I could not be as creative with my time. So thats what I did. I resisted the pressure from old school thinking, that full-time work was the only way I could make ends meet for me and my boys. I am not saying it was easy - it wasnt - but I knew in my heart it was the right path for us. I still work part-time but I am building my online business, working from home, in the time I have set aside - and its awesome. I make the same income as I would with full-time work - but it continues to grow - and I have the flexibility I need to continue creating the life I love. If you are interested in learning about what I do online, send me a message and ask - because there is nothing stopping you from doing it too. In fact, my boys who are 17 and 18 are starting out now in the online world and I am sooo totally excited by the what they may be able to create for themselves by the time they are 30. Old beliefs are made to be broken. We are here to find a better way. A better way for ourselves and a better way for our kids. It reminds me that as a kid I loved the learning phase - learning to ride a bike, learning to swim, learning to read and write, learning to roller skate, learning to waterski. As adults we tend to want to master new skills quickly and try to be experts straight from the start. ... We often overlook the sheer wonder and enjoyment of learning something new. Take your time and enjoy the journey to greatness. There is so much that we dont even know that we dont know yet :)
