23.01.2022 When I was At art school, we were SO fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly talented people and artists in the making. One such person @corallowryartist inspired me to ‘make’ and make and make. I probably drove her crazy lurking around her space chatting. I loved EVERYTHING she created and has continued to be a huge influence to me and just a great woman.... I made a little slide show from a quick impromptu visit today.... the sculpture work is Corals and the others are quick shots I took in her home who she shares with equally amazingly talented daughter. Renovated from absolute scratch... it was like being inside the latest interior mag. Just amazing! 12.01.2022 WARNING: HOLIDAY TALK ALERT I am pooped!!!.... to say the least. working f/time the last 2 weeks at my p/t job. Geezzz how does anyone do that and still run a life! ... Being fair I was also squeezing in finishing a mural, the Upmarket and eight thousand other things but holy shite that was 2 Busy fkn weeks! I mean, I work MORE working from home with my arty jobs but I can pop a load of washing on when ever I like and have flexibility. 05.01.2022 Birds & fish... I’ve been drawing them and including them in my work for 30 years now. These little table sculptures are being released for the very first time at THIS SUNDAY’S Perth Upmarket. Lee and I have been storing some gorgeous vintage pressed tin for years and I just felt an urge to get on the tools and make these guys.... I made a complete mess of the ‘kitchen studio’ and my hands were cut to shreds (that tin is sharp! ) but I LOVE them. I honestly had so much fun... thanks for your guidance @leepotterartist . Sooooo...there are 20 pieces and each is different and unique. Bring your Christmas list and feel amazing supporting our local artisans. I think you all know how much I love this market.
