16.01.2022 One of my Competition Winner's, Korbin Reif, spent time at Cornetts IGA Middlemount to claim his prize today, including a shopping tour spending $20 in 20 minutes to choose his favourite healthy foods. Korbin was very quick to learn the infamous Christmas Candy Cane Lolly Treat contained more than 93% sugar where he was also SUPER KEEN to share his new knowledge with IGA worker Helen comparing it to 'just sugar'. Korbin got to meet store manager Jason and also Plkul where she... demonstrated techniques to safely prepare and cut watermelon for customers to buy. 15.01.2022 Recipe to follow EDIT: RECIPE BELOW Ingredients... 2 eggs 1/2 cup corn meat, shredded 1/2 cup cottage cheese 1/2 cup tinned corn, drained 1/2 cup kale, shredded 4 Tbsp self raising flour, try 2 wholemeal and 2 white... Just For FUN! Season to desired taste - try 'A BIG SHAKE OF' Garlic powder and, Black pepper and, Paprika and, Onion salt AND ' A LITTLE SHAKE OF' Chilli flakes... and ' A BIG SPLOSH OF' Olive oil Method Add all ingredients to a bowl Mix with a spoon until combined Heat fry pan, with a little Olive Oil, to medium heat Add a tablespoon of mix to heated pan Cook on both sides until lightly brown Makes approximately 8 medium size or 4 large Enjoy for 'Run Out The Door Breakfast', with your favourite chutney (Prepare fritters the night before) Enjoy for 'Quick and Easy Lunch or Dinner', with EXTRA Salad or Veggies, MAKE WITH LOVEENJOY Remember.......Make Healthy Your Normal

Students, teachers and teacher aides were TOTALLY amazed which two drinks contain the same amount of sugar. HAVE A CLOSE LOOK! Please share your thoughts
11.01.2022 And here it is! My recipe for the newly tried and tested............ Yum Fig Calcium Bites Ingredients... 1. 160 grams - Dried figs (remove small stalk from top, can be very hard to bite) 2. 100 grams - Almond meal 3. 100 grams -Tahini 4. 100 grams - Dried dates 5. 30 grams - Rolled oats 6. 30 grams - Cocoa powder 7. 30 mls - Maple syrup 8. 10 mls - Vanilla extract Method Add - All ingredients to a food processor and create a thick paste that is moist enough to roll into balls (can take up to 5 minutes depending on quality of processor) Roll - mixture into small balls Dust - with cocoa powder if desired, or try coconut or sesame seeds Freeze for two hours before eating (store in airtight container in freezer for up to 3 months) Serve with tea or coffee after a meal Eat straight from freezer to experience best mouth feel moment (recipe makes approx 50 x 10 gram bites) Recipe created with LOVE Make Healthy Your Normal Sharon x

For the last two years I have been invited to share my nutrition knowledge and skills at both the Middlemount and Dysart Seniors Day. It is always a pleasure to present at these events and has been a fantastic two days hanging out with seniors from these communities, Team Isaac and Team HCC, whilst talking 'all things nutrition'.
