23.01.2022 Silkie probably crossed pullet. Been off heat for a while, HAS not been outside yet. She will need a very warm small sleeping quarter or better still, inside of a night. Absolutely can not go with adult large hens, or the main coop. She is snack size for predators, so ideally would be enclosed for a few more months. She is around 12-14 weeks old. I am off to get parts on Monday, i will post exactly what i get and let you all know, probably will do a single and a double one. Self water filling cups. Can someone who has made their own for purchased cups show me what i need to attach to the side of a drum please. Trying to work it out but can only find premade complete cups, i know i need some sort of elbow

21.01.2022 Last two pics needing new homes still Pics 1 2 and 3 rehoused Having to down size some of my spare breeders, due to Mr Fox. Pure bred Wyndotte and one pure Gold Legbar. All girls are in breeding condition, some have wings clipped, all are laying, all just over 12 months old

17.01.2022 Well Muma Leghorn thats the last time i let you go clucky inside. Didnt know you were sitting on 24 eggs. Have kicked her outside with 7 that had hatched. Moved one squashed and one pipped dead in shell, rest in the incubator. Proves beds make nice warm broody spots. Luckily she didnt makes one mess the whole time she went in and out the darn dog door.

Bade Ness Rural have kindly offered to cover freight costs too. It would not happen until to the new year due to issues with freight and covid.
