Focus is heavily on Lower Leg Power this phase of his program, really starting to see results in his Explosiveness Next week we will measure the total power output in his legs with a variety of Plyometric exercises ... 13.01.2022 Happy Friday Today's focus is: Post-Activation Potentiation... Commonly written down as PAP in our Athletes programming this type of training is used for increasing explosive performance by "Pre-Activating" your targeted muscle groups and attempts to help recruit more Muscle Fibres. An easy example to explain would be to Slowly perform a Barbell Back Squat (at no more than 50-65% of your max weight) for roughly 3-5 reps slow and controlled both up and down and then to perform an Explosive Box Jump straight afterwards, followed by a decent 5-7 minutes rest. The purpose of this "Pre-Activation" is to recruit as many new and "Non-fired up" fibres as possible for an Explosive movement to increase your performance Here demonstrated is a "Dumbell Loaded PAP Spring" which would then be followed by an explosive box jump. PAP exercises are implemented into our Athletes programs no more than twice in a 7-day period as they really take a toll on your nervous system and can easily cause fatigue to settle quickly. It's also one of the main assets behind Coach Jakk's 131cm Step Box Jump he just achieved Merry Liftmas
