16.01.2022 Junior Summer League nominations are opening up in August and we are very pleased to announce that Sharper Tennis is teaming up with our next door neighbours, UWA Tennis Club, this season. UWA TC has a prestigious history and is the oldest UWA sporting club, boasting four A Grade and State Grade premierships between 1972/73 & 2002/03 and with their new dynamic coaching team, All Things Tennis led by Matt Ebden and Tino Vissers, this tally is sure to increase! In addition, ...with 8 pristine newly surfaced grass courts being prepared for the upcoming summer season, it is also the only club with red clay courts in WA. 15.01.2022 Adult Classes Start Next Week! Have you been missing your time on the court? From Monday 18th May, Coach Simon will be leading the following sessions at Wembley Downs Tennis Club;... Tuesday Adult Intermediate 9-10.30am- Improve your accuracy, ball control and decision-making skills! These doubles & singles matchplay sessions will work on your technical skills and enable you to develop your tactical awareness and improve your physical fitness, using drills specific to game situations. Fee: $25 per session Thursday Tennis Fitness 9.30-10.30am- Time to work off the Rona poundage! Come and shake your booty with fun, action-packed tennis-based drills and activities played to up-tempo music on the tennis court. It does not require tennis skills, but is all about keeping your heart rate up, burning calories and having fun. Whether the ball goes in or out is irrelevant as the main purpose is to get fit. Fee: $20 per session Both Members & Non-Members are very welcome at all our sessions :-)

Our Junior Challenge competitions are for players just starting out with competitive play and are a great opportunity to put into practise all they are learning in their regular squad sessions in a fun and relaxed environment. This event will be held at John XXIII College, Mt Claremont. To enter all players MUST be able to rally consistently and understand tournament rules.... All events will be Round Robin for guaranteed matchplay. Fun competitive matchplay and only $25 entry fee including a FREE sausage sizzle for all entrants! 8 & U Red- Players should be able to serve under-arm (drop serve) and be learning the rules of tennis.Parents/guardians may be asked to assist in scoring and rules.... 13 & U Orange- Players should be able to serve, either over-arm or under-arm (drop serve), and score.
