24.01.2022 The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) has received the following advice from the Federal Minister for Health, The Hon Greg Hunt: The Australian Minister for Health has today confirmed that ALL allied health businesses can continue working and are encouraged to do so. We are hoping to be up and running with new procedures in place very soon!

15.01.2022 After the PM confirmed last night with a shout out to Physiotherapists directly - we will be back for you Monday 30th March! We have put extra measurements in place to ensure your health & safety, we’ve done a deep clean & have put extra hygiene measures in place. Next week there will only be two Physio working at one time, one for each section of our Physio, with one patient each. (To ensure the 4metre radius can be adhered to from patient to patient). ... We still stress that anyone suffering from cold or flu like symptoms to postpone their appointment and remain safely at home. If you do have an appointment we may have to call you to rearrange the time slightly to adhere to these measures. We hope you understand Thank you to all patients for your patience on this

13.01.2022 This is a great website, https://www.safeexerciseathome.org.au/ endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association it's got lots of information on physical activity and exercise for older people and tips on how to stay motivated whilst staying at home.

12.01.2022 Due to the escalating nature of the situation in Newcastle, we have decided to close temporarily until Monday 17th August to keep our staff and patients safe. At present, we are unsure if, and how quickly this will spike and as we interact with so many members of the community, including the elderly we want to keep us all safe. 09.01.2022 Whilst we are still trading as normal, we stress the importance of good hygiene - we ask all our staff and patients to follow the recommended guidelines - we can get through this together!

06.01.2022 Hygiene and practice safety As we see an increase in the number of coronavirus cases across Australia it is important we take the necessary precautions to keep the practice safe and clean. If you are feeling even mild cold or flu like symptoms or have been around someone with Covid19 or suspected Covid19 we ask that you stay home and not attend the practice.... We are taking extra care in the cleaning of beds, pillows and all surfaces in between patients, we have alcohol based hand sanitisers and plenty of antibacterial soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms. It is extremely important that you stay home if you feel unwell, for your own protection and the safety of others we ask that you practice excellent hand washing hygiene. Use the hand sanitiser on the front desk on entry and exit from the practice. Please avoid coughing and sneezing into your hand and cough into your elbow to block. Thank you for you co-operation Stay Well! X

Eat, drink & Be Merry! We are now enjoying our Christmas Break and we will re-open Monday 30th. As a little tradition, instead of Christmas Cards we have again donated to The Smith Family Trust so that children in need will have something to open on Christmas Day!
