25.01.2022 East Gippsland Shire Council and the Bairnsdale Stock Agents Association (BSAA) thank all vendors, buyers and carriers for the cooperation during the Coronavirus pandemic. The cooperation being shown by everyone in supporting measures put in place has enabled us to continue to hold sales and support the local farming community. We would like to remind the community that social distancing measures are in place on sale days at the East Gippsland Livestock Exchange. To ensure sa...les continue within social distancing guidelines, we request that only people attending sales are genuine buyers, agents, council staff, and carriers. From Friday 15 May, our store sales will run as follows: A pre-sale viewing will take place between 8.30 9.30 am. All prospective buyers are encouraged to attend to identify their activity in the sale and sign in at the site register. When the viewing closes, everyone will leave the yards. Before the sale, identified genuine buyers will be able to register and re-enter the yards to take part in the sale. Once buyers have completed their engagement in the sale they need to leave the facility. This will help maintain social distancing requirements. Carriers will not have access to the yards during the sale. Entry for carriers will be allowed before and after the sale. Council and the BSAA thanks everyone for following these measures and also recommends visitors to the livestock exchange download the COVIDSafe app.

21.01.2022 Sharp Fullgrabe welcomes Brent Coster to our team. Brent was born and bred in Bairnsdale from respected families. Brent is not a stranger to us, in 2007 he started with us as a stockman at the saleyards and then spread his wings moving to a 16,000 acre property at Corryong, he then went on to a place on the Murrumbidgee at Gundagai and managed a few large acreage properties at Young until he was invited to join Gerrard and Partners Livestock in Young NSW as a livestock agent ...and auctioneer. Brent & his wife Melinda wanted to move back home and the opportunity to advance his agency career with Sharp Fullgrabe existed. Brent is an AuctionsPlus assessor and an accomplished stockman, complemented by his client focused approach to livestock marketing he will be an asset to the team.
