25.01.2022 **UPDATE** SBR2020 is going ahead! We have closely monitored the evolving situation and been in contact with authorities. We have conducted a risk assessment and implemented infection control strategies. We have a field of less than 500, and we will therefore proceed with our event. ... We strongly advise anyone who is planning on spectating only to reconsider and stay home. Thankyou all for your patience and understanding. One last reminder - if you are unwell, please stay home.

25.01.2022 **EVENT MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT** This is common sense, and should go without saying, but please STAY AWAY from the event if you have any flu like symptoms, had direct contact or been in known proximity of any suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19, Influenza, or any other transferable illness. Falling ill prior to an event is disappointing, especially when you have put all the hard work in with training, but please be considerate of your fellow runners and their families. We need to do the right thing by each other and for our own health. Please use your common sense. The Team at SBR 2020 are looking forward to a great day and keeping everyone as happy and healthy as possible.

14.01.2022 Once again a huge shoutout to our selfless SBR volunteers, who with short notice were willing and able to adapt to some last minute changes on Saturday. With the uncertainty of Covid 19 still being assessed by the Dept of Health, SBR organisers were the first to take steps and implement precautionary safety measurements. Our highly credentialed RN Deb Sharp implemented strategies to mitigate risk by requiring our aid station volunteers to wear gloves to handle water and VFuel... container taps and to individually hand out food items to our competitors. Not only this, but some last minute cancellations meant our volunteers were asked to change or fill extra roles and/or solely man some aid stations. So from all of the SBR organisers and competitors a HUGE sincere thankyou! Caz

10.01.2022 **UPDATE** As of 13.3.2020 @ 0900hrs SBR2020 is going ahead on Saturday 14th March. We are monitoring the state health department and DHHS information and will be guided by any state government restrictions. At present, there are none in place. We have also consulted with medical officers at a state level for reassurance. As a small community event in a large outdoor area, maintaining social distancing is achievable. The safety of every individual at our event comes do...wn to each and every one of us. 1. STAY AWAY if you are ill, even if you only have mild symptoms 2. Maintain good hand hygiene. We do not have enough hand sanitiser for 500 people, so please bring your own if you have any. 3. Please cover your mouth with the crook of your elbow if you need to cough or sneeze. 4. Maintain social distancing when possible 5. Avoid touching your face REMINDER ** This is a cup free event ** YOU MUST BYO CUP VOLUNTEERS (wearing gloves) will be instructed to hand you any aid station supplies you may wish to take, to avoid runners putting sweaty hands into lolly bowls. This MAY create a slight delay at aid stations. DO NOT BE RUDE TO THE VOLUNTEERS. No runners will be allowed to handle the water taps - this will be done by volunteers only. Consider bringing your own lollies, or fuel in a zip lock bag to avoid using aid station food. PODIUM places will be awarded on Race Bib chip time, NOT 1st, 2nd and 3rd across the line. We will ask all runners to self seed (faster to slower) at the start line and maintain a reasonable distance from each other. We have a medical team in attendance who will be taking a travel history on any runners who present for medical assistance. Be honest, and do not risk other people with misleading information. Several runners have already withdrawn and self-isolated. We thank them for doing the right thing. Any runner who presents for medical assistance and is symptomatic with criteria or have a positive travel history will be banned from future events. Thank you all for your assistance. 06.01.2022 Just in case... . **COVID CANCELLATION POLICY**... If SBR2021 must be cancelled according to state government regulations and / or restrictions, entries will be automatically transferred to SBR2022 (Date: 12.03.2022). Alternatively, entrants may request a refund via emailing [email protected] (please include full name, DOB, and mobile number). Refunds will be processed less a $10 fee which covers registration payment processing fees and event non-refundable overheads. In the event that cancellation occurs, please allow up to 14 days for refund processing.
