11.01.2022 Bringing you a few images out of the archives. A couple are preserved natural specimens. Taking these items I applied them within a set up projecting an 'infinity mirror' or 'endless mirror'. The infinity mirrors are used in rooms as accents (mostly bathrooms). Mirrors placed parallel to each other reflect back again to create a series of smaller reflections that appear to recede into infinity.

09.01.2022 Feeling creative and a wanting to follow up to my earlier post Balance, natural specimens and hybrid entanglements. Im not sure if I have told all my lovelies that follow my page that I spent 4 years on an art assignment, photographing the shoreline environment, water surface patterning and rock formations. This was in tandem with my final Uni assignment on 'Dystopia'. My photographic essay & pseudo museum exhibition focussed on capturing the shoreline for posterity, prior to... its extinction through rising waters brought on by Climate Change. Not directly related to Dystopia but definitely a glimpse of my time during that assignment, a bit of fun for all. These images go with the poem. (not a writer so very simple poetry will have to do) The FAD Can I take you on a short journey with me? A journey I took as I went out to sea. It started one day, very early, pre light, so early the sky’s stars still glowed very bright. The journey was taking me out to the FAD. Fisher friends said a fish frenzy it had. The FAD is a fish attracting device, not at all flashy, just fishy and nice. I cruised through the morning, hour after hour, to arrive at the FAD, famished, windblown and sour. I found what I came for I found the said ‘FAD’, so so underwhelming, so so utterly sad. It was just a life buoy attached to a long chain, a haven for fishies to sleep and stay sane. I’m sure it’s a treat in this wide wide blue sea, fishies catch up on rest and float in pure glee. Well I was unhappy, and not all impressed, to be nowhere near land, in my yellow fish vest. It was eerily quiet, no sound was to be heard, just the lapping of sea on the boat, how absurd. I was over this tale of fish paradise found, I said ‘anchor up get this boat homeward bound’. With a roar of the engine it was time to get out, to leave this strange place with its buoy bobbing about. I cruised through the afternoon, hour after hour, to get back to land for a warm soothing shower.

04.01.2022 Unfortunately won't run the canvas workshop in August. Need more ppl interested to justify the class. I have added my 'would be' A4 which shows my painting experiments on cotton duck, hessian and canvas. The same image gains a different personality on each surface. This workshop may get legs....for a day in the future. ... There will be a Paper play day running this Saturday at Inside Out. Loving paper.
