11.01.2022 To say that Shaun's 2019-20 season Australian 410 Sprintcar Championship campaign last night ended in disappointment would be quite the understatement. Shaun had qualified fourth on the second row for the Australian Championship decider and from when the lights went green he showed that he was not going to leave anything in the tank. Quickly working his way into third, Shaun then began his charge to the front of the field. Within the opening dozen laps, Shaun had worked his ...way into the lead. For the next five laps, he controlled the lead while battling with James McFadden, before it all came undone on lap 17 which brought Shaun's Australian Championship to a crashing end. Despite the obvious disappointment, Shaun said on the infield, that he gave it his all and there was not much else he could say to explain his feelings towards to his Australian Championship winning hopes on home soil coming to a premature end. Heading into the second and final night, Shaun sat 10th in the overall standings, but by virtue of a solid second-place finish in his third and final heat race, he started the feature race from position four. In regards to the rest of the 2019-20 season, Shaun will be making an announcement about his schedule shortly.
