This project is an integrated fitout for a new precinct in Sydney. Taking 25,000sqm of the building, the client is the major tenant for this new build. From the arid Sahara Desert, a remarkable journey takes place that brings sand clouds across the Atlantic ocean before they come to rest in the Amazon basin. The distance travelled is itself an awe-inspiring feat, but it’s what happens when it comes to rest at the foot of the Amazon that elevates the journeynutrient-rich grains of sand from one of the driest places on earth become the fertiliser for one of the world’s most precious ecological resources. As quoted by MJA Studio "The design of the Mutual Trust fitout was formulated using colours and textures representative of the landscape of native Australia; lands of rich red dirt horizons, vast and remote interior landscapes and outback areas of low population density... The carpet tile from Shaw was selected because of its earth qualities and its relevance to the... architectural concept.
