10.01.2022 If your interested in learning more about the story of Shaw River Buffalo Cheese and other Australian artisan cheese makers, this podcast is well worth a listen. I had a chat recently to Dan Sims from Mould who has been responsible for championing Australian Cheesemakers and getting us all together these past few years for the Mould Festival. Sadly no Mould this year, but you can learn about our stories through Dans podcasts and check out their Australian cheese boxes https://www.mouldcheesefestival.com/mould-cheese-collective/

06.01.2022 The last couple of days we’ve had an extraordinary amount of rain & the Shaw River next to the buffalo cheese factory broke it’s banks. This photo is from early thismorning viewed from the Yambuk side of the river. The factory nestled on high ground with it pretty river views. Princes Hwy was shut overnight at the Shaw River bridge but we have access to the factory again today as the water is slowly receding.

01.01.2022 What a great collection of legendary cheeses !! make sure you don’t miss out. Treat Dad for Father’s Day, or just get one for yourself

01.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to my dad Roger. Roger and Sue Haldane are the owners here at Shaw River Buffalo Cheese as well as Poco icecream Port Fairy which they bought in December last year. Rogers endless enthusiasm for life and boundless energy for trying new things have lead our family on an epic adventure throughout our lives. From alpacas, to buffalo cheese and Icelandic horses and now to the production room of our very own icecream shop. While I have so many fond memories o...f working with Roger in the cheese factory and on the farm, my favourite more recent moments with dad were at Poco where I am settling into my new role as a gelato maker. During our first summer in the evenings Dad would come down to the store as we were closing to have his daily cone. Often stoping to yarn with the folks enjoying themselves on the lawn out the front. Sometimes he would join the line and come in the shop to buy one over the counter, enjoying discretely being a part of the happy banter of his excited customers. To a man who has done amazing things in his life, many of them primarily to bring smiles to the faces of others, Thankyou. What an inspiration you are to so many. What an honour to call you my Dad See more
