19.01.2022 ***PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*** There is again a couple of ads on Gumtree advertising 2 different positions "available" for the DARWIN Depot. ++ THESE ARE AGAIN FAKE! ++... These "companies" are taking the ads we have posted here and once we have marked the jobs as being closed/filled, they then copy/amend them and post them to Gumtree as if we still have them available. I can confirm we do not have any available openings for those positions nor have we had any dealings with either websites or asked them to advertise on our behalf. We are trying to get the gumtree ads removed but every time the ad is taken down, it immediately gets put back up. Yesterday it was showing the ad as being 3 days old and today its only 15hrs new. If anyone finds any other ads for "Shaws" that are on websites other than our own Website, Seek, Indeed or this Facebook page please DO NOT APPLY instead check the other sites I have mentioned. Your duties will include but not be limited to; Completing local pick-ups and deliveries loading and unloading trailers... load restraints Completing dog runs to both Northam and/or Wubin You will require A current unrestricted HC/MC Drivers licence A clear driving record A Forklift licence (ideal but not essential) Prior loading experience Experience in load restraints Good knowledge of the Perth Metro Areas You will also require or be willing to obtain a rail yard pass. 08.01.2022 Shaws Darwin Transport is looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of Kenworth Prime Movers, Haulmark Trailers/Dollies and Isuzu Rigids in our Perth Workshop. Previous experience in the transport industry is highly recommended. The position will require you to complete and hand in all paperwork for maintenance records, servicing repairs, diagnostic work etc on the above vehicles in a timely matter.... You will also need to be available for call outs when necessary. We require someone who is honest, reliable, punctual and trustworthy is a team player has the ability to follow instructions and relay information via email to the appropriate directors/managers etc. Understand and follow Safety guidelines Technical understanding of Trucks & Trailers. 05.01.2022 No thats not a typo... 38 years on and still going.

05.01.2022 ** SERVICE UPDATE (as at 9am 06.01.2020) ** A quick update for all concerned. Road services between Perth and Sydney continue to be disrupted by the closure of the Eyre Highway at the WA/SA border due to bushfire activity. As the highway was closed early last week, all services departing Sydney from 31.12.19 onward remain delayed. Any trailers currently in transit have/will be housed in safe locations if the road remains closed until further notice.... No road services have departed Perth for Sydney since 27.12.19, all loaded trailers are currently being held in the Perth Depot. Rail services have also been impacted with track closures at Lithgow due to bushfires. This is expected to be re-opened this afternoon. The track through WA is currently unaffected by the fires and remains open. We will continue to accept freight and will have it moved as soon as possible. Although this situation is beyond our control, We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

01.01.2022 On behalf of the team at Shaws Darwin Transport, We unfortunately inform you that Malcolm Pascoe has passed away early this morning. Those who know/knew him would know what a hard working and dedicated man he was to the company. Mal will be greatly missed by all and the company will not be the same without him. We send all our love to his wife Marian and family at such a difficult time. For those of you who know the family, we ask that you please give them space and allow them time to grieve in their own way.
