Must have at least 6months experience working with people with a disability, first aid( can provide up to date training for suitable applicants) WWC or a police check. Administration of medication is desired. Must have a vehicle. Initially ABN is required. option to be employed on TFN with superannuation paid after a 3 month trial. 24.01.2022 Its Purple Day for Epilepsy Shayanne unfortunately started having seizures just over a year ago. It is one of the scariest things to see your child go through. The seizures she has are a mixture of Tonic-clonic and Clonic seizures, they go from 30 seconds to the longest being over 20minutes a few weeks ago. She has started medication for the seizures but they are not controlled yet. Here is just a bit of general information:... 30 50% of children with Cerebral Palsy develop epilepsy. Epilepsy is not a disease, but rather a spectrum condition characterized by unpredictable, recurrent seizures. Not all people will experience the same symptoms of epilepsy, and seizures can range from mild to severe. Seizures are common among children with Cerebral Palsy because CP is caused by a brain injury occurring before, during or shortly after birth. Brain injuries increase the chance for abnormal nerve activity to occur within the brain, which can result in seizures. Children with hemiplegia and quadriplegia are most at risk. Generalized seizures can be further broken down into additional types: Absence seizures can cause a person to stare into space or have jerking, twitching muscles Tonic seizures can cause stiffening of the back, leg or arm muscles Clonic seizures can cause repeated jerking movements on both sides of the body Tonic-clonic seizures can cause a mixture of the above symptoms, such as stiffening of the body and repeated jerking of the arms/legs, as well as a loss of consciousness Atonic seizures can cause a loss of normal muscle tone, causing a person to fall down or drop their head involuntarily

This lady goes above and beyond to support us and help us care for Shayanne with her very challenging additional needs. She not only cares for shay but includes my little man Bear jr with everything they do. Thanks to NDIS for the funding . Without them i couldnt afford you lol.. and I wouldnt get my weekends away. You truley are a blessing and we all thank you and appreciate everything you do.
