19.01.2022 Custom Logo Design and the 5-Second Sale If you had 5 seconds to sell your product, what would you do? Would you start to ramble about features and benefits? Or would you run down the street, wildly waving a sign like a maniac? Theres just not much you can do in 5 seconds. What can sell a product in 5 seconds?... Believe it or not, the answer is your business logo. This makes an effective custom logo design imperative. If viewers dont like your business logo, they wont like your product - and their opinion is not likely to budge. How do business logos sell? Basically, when viewers see your logo, they feel a certain way your logo elicits either good or bad emotions. If they like the way your logo makes them feel, theyll like your product. For example, blue is thought to instill feelings of trust, and red is believed to make people want to act right now! When it comes to fonts, rounded edges create feelings of relaxation and calm. So if youre an accountant and dont want to look lazy and lackadaisical, dont use rounded edges in your logo Instead use sharp edges - they communicate reliability, honesty, and integrity to the viewer. What does all of this mean for you and your business? Know your audience! This is the most important tool in your marketing toolbox. How old is your audience? Where do they live? Where do they work? What are their hobbies and interests? And most importantly.What problems do they have that your product can solve? So, maybe its time to hire a professional logo designer, and hit the drawing board. Remember, consumers are a shallow bunch - they will make a judgment about your company logo before you can intervene. Is your logo ready for the 5-second test?
