16.01.2022 Happy 100th BIRTHDAY to alumni May Byrne, also known as Catherine May Clark when she attended Sacred Heart College the 1930s. May served in the Australian Women's Army Service in New Guinea. The second image shows her leading the way on board dressed proudly in her uniform, taken on her 25th birthday in 1945. With COVID restrictions in place, May celebrated her birthday with family and dear friend Christine Williams (Class of 1966) who lives nearby in sunny Queensland. The Alumni Association wish May a very special birthday!

14.01.2022 Congratulations Emma Vecoli (Class of 2015) awarded the 2019 Roy and Iris Simmons Chemistry Award! The award is granted to a full-time student who has successfully completed studies in Chemistry equivalent to a second-year level in a degree with Chemistry as a major field of study, and has demonstrated the highest standard of academic achievement combined with qualities of leadership and involvement in community affairs. The award was established in 1982 through the generosity of the family of the late Dr Roy T. Simmons, who made outstanding contributions to the field of medical science. He bequeathed a sum of money to RMIT for the provision of an annual award for a student undertaking a degree in Chemistry at RMIT.

03.01.2022 A BEAUTIFUL SOUL The Sacred Heart College community is mourning the loss of Year 8 student, Zoe Isabel Kennedy, who passed away suddenly on June 19 after suffering a fatal asthma attack. 03.01.2022 Alumni and artist Christy Chudosnik (2015) has been involved in designing and constructing bright colourful sculptures for the UooUoo arts trail. More than 100 artists have collaborated their talents and made artwork for the trail in Melbourne and Geelong.
