09.01.2022 Most people underestimate the sheer exhaustion that shearing crews endure during the hot days in the sheds. While it may have been 36c outside, it was near 42...c+ inside the heat-absorbing corrugated shed. Our crew managed to push through each run during the hotter days earlier this week; using smoko's to rest as best we could. Shearers and rousies work bloody hard all year round not to mention on the hotter days. Well done guys, just a little tatse of what's to come in summer

06.01.2022 According the the last census, out of a population of 25 million in Australia, just under 3000 people call themselves Shearers, and walk into Woolsheds just lik...e this and call it their office for the day. It's not everyones cup of tea I suppose, and you could call the job and people involved in the industry many things: Backbreaking, politically incorrect, dangerous, strenuous, funny and unique are some of the more common terms you hear thrown around. But in an age when there are far easier jobs and maybe even better ways to make money, the Shearing job is still an industry liker no other in Australia that continues to draw new people each year. Regardless of wether they work in it for a week or 30 years, everyone remembers their time spent in Shearing Sheds.
